Air wing names repeat themselves. For example there are two JG 1 wings in my current game

Steps to Reproduce
Deploy several air wings. Close air interface then come back and deploy more air wings and names will repeat.

Hi, I can't get this to reproduce. I start a new game, create several air wings, leave the air interface, come back some time later, create more air wings. They all have unique names.
Do you have more specific steps I can follow?

I also experience this problem. I think the missing step might be that you must rename one of the air wings. Once you do that, the name list seems to get stuck. I'll try to upload a save.

I have a similar issue with the historical naming feature. Certain division templates cause the game to default to the historical names list even if “none” is selected. Kind of annoying.

@Ceebie, here is a screenshot of a game with the renaming problem:



As you can see, there are two "JG Oesau 1": an existing one and a newly created one.

I have attached the save game from just after this. The DLCs are the free content (except that German Historical Portraits is turned off), the Colonel Edition unit packs, and TFV; the mods in use are Coloured Buttons, Completed Focus Fix, and More Division Icons. This game is in 1.5.1, but was started in 1.5 and has been through the beta (though the bug also existed in 1.4.x). To reproduce the bug, create a light fighter air wing. It will be another JG1 Oesau, even though one already exists.

To reproduce the problem in a new game, try this: create a light fighter air wing. Rename it. Then create two new fighter wings. They will both have the same name.

The screenshot also illustrates a related problem. The reason I want to rename air wings is that many of the German names are too long for the interface: the differentiating number is at the end of the name, which cannot be seen in Air Mode. For example, I cannot distinguish between the two Küstenfliegergeschwader in the screenshot. This is with a 1366x768 display. When considering how to fix this bug, it may be helpful to bear that in mind.
