I´ve been thinking, would´nt the HOI 2 game engine be excellent for a Napoleonic grand strategy game? Armys of that time also consisted of divisions and brigades and so on. Of course, the researchtree, and doctrines and other things will have be totaly redesigned. The Grand Campaign would start in 1792, for example, and end in 1815, when Nappy dies, or earlier, if he gets killed on the battlefield. Shorter scenarios could be,say, the campaign of 1813-1814, when Nappy is on the defensive. Can he recover and once again be the ruler of Europe? Can the player do better than the real nations of that time? It would also be extremely fun to play in multiplayer, even as a small nation.
I hope that Paradox at least give it a thought. WW2 games are fun, but at the moment they are overrepresented in the gameworld. There are so many other timeperiods that you can build a game around.

sorry for my crappy english
