Umm, Bumblebee? The game's sounded interesting so far, and I hope you don't mind my chiming in, but I've got to correct you on that Iberian unification remark.

Since Portugal's independance, it has been unified with Spain once before. In 1580, Phillip I took the throne of Portugal as well as Spain, taking the Spanish empire to its greatest height.

Spain, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, the Phillipines, the first enclaves in China, Japan, and India, much of the american coasts... I look forward to seeing if your Azoran springboard sees you climb to greater heights.

Well my post was Fascist propoganda direct from General Franco Who shall say and do as he pleases and the Spanish shall know it as the truth

And I doubt I'll be going beyond the Azores, any actions in the America's will likely bring about a early USA entry into the war

Im fine for Friday 7pm. We should try and play a few sessions on Fridays as people can tend to stay up a bit longer as its the weekend. I initaly set up the sunday game as the (weekend game with the intention of playing it on any days on the weekend everyone could get together). Just turned out sundays became the norm. But playing the Tuesday game this friday is fine by me, its a good game, interesting espically when the UK will be invaded soon.

Invasion of the UK lol....you can try Adolf. Less you got for the invasion of Russia when I stop you. I can take yo uand all your sidekicks on my own!!!!

Albatross...no Tuesday games are still on but just trying to squeeze in an extra session....only gezeder to confirm as you have missed a few a sessions anyway.

Well 7pm its tomorrow then. Its late october 39, so i imagine that Fracne will be gone by next Tuesday Albatross, not that they were not going to get hammered anyway, since youve missed a few sessions with them, i think there army is very small, so will be a cake walk. Just a shame you wont be able to see me invade the UK as there navy is to scared to now face since i outnumber the UK 2-1 in CV's and all my surface ships are modern compared to the UK's ancient fleet.

Anti Axis riots in US cities

The hawkish US public are viewing the dire situation in Europe with great alarm. Massive pro-war demonstrations are being held in most major cities and anti Axis riots have broken out in Boston and New York. Italian restarants and German Delicatessens have been attacked with one restarant manager found hanged with his own vermicelli. The remains of five German Deli workers were found in a Bronx Delicatessen with their sausauges mutilated . Pro-Allied youth gangs are roaming the streets of LA and there have been unconfirmed reports of Spanish men having their castanets cut off.

With the growing public demands for the US to join with the Allies, FDR has indicated that a review of the US intervention policy will be finalised by early September. The President went on to say that untill then our strict isolationist policy will remain in place and that nothing short of an Axis invasion of the UK home islands would bring the USA into the war.

Italy Defends Itself Bravely.

After fighting broke out during a joint German/Soviet invasion of Poland in September, Italy decided to press its claims against Yugoslavia. The State had been without its rightful land for too long.

Besides, Mussolini knew the English would never try to intervene when they were facing a newly powerful German/Spanish alliance which had just invaded and conquered Poland and Portugal in only a matter of months.

4 days later he was rudely awoken to find reports that the Germans were going to help against the Yugoslavians. The immediate response was some anger at Hitler trying to steal Italian glory. After some confusion it came to light that Italy was now part of Germany's alliance (Much surprising the Head of Government), and that the English had dragged their allies into the Balkans conflict.

I will not be quoting Mussolini's exact words due to public decency laws.

Suffice to say he was both amazed and somewhat annoyed at this turn of events.

Since the day the Allies declared war on September 22, Italy has thrown itself into this new "Total War" with vigour, the Yugoslavians have been properly annexed, and treacherous Greeks will fall soon too.

Reports of multiple failed attacks on Crete involving massive casualties to Italy's best artillery equipped mountain divisions should be ignored.

However Mussolini has stated that the era of the amphibious assault has ".....Probably died with the last great operation of its type, the taking of the Azores."

Hitler is most displeased with FDR's attitude, why dose the democratic US support an antiquated nation which inslaves 1/4 of the worlds people. Did the US not fight a brutal civil war no less then 80 years ago to end slavery, then end your support of the UK and let them stand by them selves. If it is gods will for them to fall then they will, and have proved them selves unjust, and unworthy.

With the rapidily detoriateing situation in Europe and the UK's blantent escalation of the war to invole the balklands and drag Italy into the conflict, new operations are being brought forward. All current allied nations involed in the war will be invaded and targeted for annexation at the earliest opportunity. Hitler has released the lesh of his generals who are pushing to end France's angony now. Hitler will play the Uks game of tit for tat escalation, a game the UK can not win. Once France is gone, The Uk home Islands, gibralter, and a massive german invasinon forces will invade Africa and push the british back to india. There will be no restrictions on german operation or time frames, churchill has sown his own fate.

All lies spoken by the Axis...Brand new Italian rifles dropped once never fired were picked off the invasion beaches by brave Greek soldiers as the owners of the rifles fled on anything that floated. A dozen rubber dingys were spotted off the coast of Greece crowded with unarmed Italian soldiers.

Franco announces that Spanish battle hardened veterans will be dispatched to the Meditteranean immediatley to assist Italian forces to push back the British dogs from Libya And to re-establish the golden era of the Spanish people lost to Napoleon 150 years ago With the occupation of French colonies in Africa and the eventual return of the Conquistadors to South America

Interesting session.

Only about 5 months played last night due to the amount of action taking place.

Germany's main actions this session were negoations with the USSR over Swedens support of finland by agreeing to alliance with finland and hence joining the war against the USSR. The USSR issued statments that any intervention by western nations would lead to war. Hitler could not accept the USSR in complete control of sweden, being only 2 provinces from berline and only km's away across the baltic to the north. If the Stalin wanted war over sweden Hitler was prepared to give it to him, as the situation was unaceptable. A last minute deal preserved the peace with a Von Ribbentop proposing we split Sweden as we did with poland since this was a situation not created by either party. Stalin agreed, and soon sweden was partitioned between Germany and the USSR along the river line to the north of stockholm.

A second crisis involing the USSR and the Axis nations soon errupted once again. This time over italy's DOW on turkey and rapid invasion of that nation. Once again Stalin was threatening war. Stalin soon stated he wanted 10k to not DOW on Italy and hence the whole Axis. A confrence was held in rome to dicuss the situation, although germany was hesititant to provoke a war with the USSR due to the MR pact, and germany would bear the burden of most of the fighting, it was agreed that an early war was in the axis favor at this point. If the USSR DOW they would not get the patrotic war events, plus the combined forces of Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy & Spain could put far more forces on the eastern front then the USSR current standing army. Germanies army alone was more then a match for the USSR at this point. The axis nations calculated that even with france still in the war we could feild an infantry army 50% larger then the USSR on the eastern front, plus equal or superior armoured forces, plus japan also agreed to join the war should the USSR DOW. So it was decided to refuse stalins offer. After some negoiations for the sake of peace it was agreed no german troops would be stationed in Turkey or pass through it until 1942, to keep at ease stalins anxiety over a second german front through turkey. Italy was given a free hand in tureky and annexed it shortly afterwards.

There were some naval battles with the UK, although the UK continues to run away from major major battles as its CV's simply cannot stand up to germanies CV's. In one large battle 1 old german BC was sunk, with two UK CV's nearly sunk and and 2 BB's, UK fleet once again ran away.

How do you nearly sink ships...they are either sunk or not sunk...and at this stage only you have lost a Battle Cruiser while the UK commander has used good judgment on 2 occassions.
