Mine's working fine on mine and someone else's in irc. How big was the file you downloaded? The correct one's almost 10 megs.
Also, again, sorry for slow download speeds. I can only allocate 150KB/s to this project without getting yelled at. And there are currently 51 people downloading, you do the math.

the first zip from dans site was 4.1 mb but it didnt auto install.... so do i have to manually replace the old files with the new ones?

You need to extract the files to your HOI directory. They will overwrite the older version.

I just tried to download the other versions( scand and italian etc) and they were 6.7 mb .... ??
All you need is the NA version if you bought the Strategy First package. Then use Winzip (or something similar) to extract the files into your HOI directory.

Trip is right, though... nobody who doesn't love the game is much going to care when or even if you publish the patch for it.
However, I do apologize for my own rude remarks earlier in this thread. I shouldn'ta oughta done it. It was unnecessary, counterproductive, inconsiderate and based on a judgement I lacked the proper information to make.
That said, if I may make a couple of suggestions, in the spirit of constructive criticism...
It would have been best to put the details from your last post into your first one. I think most of us would have accepted that you'd done your best under the circumstances (as we do now), and much unpleasantness would have been nipped in the bud.
There still seems to be something counterproductive in being the only one of Paradox's publishers that doesn't let them produce & post the patch installer for your version. In light of how this turned out, I suggest you rethink that policy.
To Patric, Dan & Andrew - the Three Musketeers couldn't have done it better! If you were here, I'd give you each one of my Pilsner Urquell's. Since you're not, I guess I'll have to drink them for you. Waste not want not
