so uninstalling HOI, fresh install then adding in 1.03 is the best route?

Andrew, I keep getting an error when tryng to get your zip... "error has occured when saving".
Everything in 1.01 and 1.02 is in 1.03, so all you have to do is reinstall HOI, then patch up to 1.03.Originally posted by KardinalSyn

nest to Xcom ufo defense ( ps1 ) .. axis and allies was my favorite game to play. I am so happy Paradox made HOI... its like axis and allies on steroids!

i owe all of you an explanation as to what happened,
i recieved the files from Patric this morning, we had allot of installs to be made, so when the time came for the patch it was gettting late. so all was done except for the QA pass.
i did all in my power ot get it out today, i steped at toes, pissed people off, circumvented procedures, heck i even wanted to just dump the files without an installer.. just to get it out..
reality folks is i have bosses to answer to, procedure to follow. for a good reason, there was a problem with the patch and the installer, i discovered it pretty late, of course by then the install guy left.
if i decided to skip procedure, i would have published a patch that did not work. imagine the reaction if this happened.
i understand the frustration running on this thread. now you have the facts. if that is not enough forgive me for not being omnipotent.

LOL I just got the registry work around working and now the downloads are available.

Thanks for the explanation Nabil. (Most) People realize that since you're here spending your time to explain and inform us, you care enough to do all you could to get the patch out. Luckily Patric has come up with a fix, so you're out of the line of fire for now. I apologize for anyone who might have offended you... everyone just wants the patch out because they love the game.

Yeah everyone wants the patch now. Things happen in business all the time, it sucks I know.
Thanks for stepping up to the plate and laying it down, still going to be unhappy people but I know it would have been just as easy for you to release it on monday and not address the string at all.

Zipped version won't open--keeps saying "The Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted"
Mine or Dan's? You may have got some corruption downloading it. Might try again.
