I'm not sure what you're doing, but you could copy EVERYTHING out of the folder it created and paste it into the root of your HOI folder. Overwrite all.

LOL! Ok, from what I understand you are unzipping the zip file and it creates a new folder you never had before. Contained in that new folder are all the new 1.03 files. If you are using a windows based operating system, click on the first folder/file then hold your shift key down and click on the last file. This selects all of the new files.

Right click and select copy. Browse to your original HOI folder (where the hoi.exe is) and right click...select paste. When prompted say yes to overwrite the old files. Thats it...you should be ready to rock and roll.

Hope this helped.

I was almost happy when I saw that the NA Patch was delayed, I have exams all this week, and I dont have the time to play on the computer due to studying. Now with this 'leaked' version out, I guess I can kiss my hopes of doing any good on the exams goodbye... :(

Dan,

Do you have a maximum bandwidth limitation for a set time period on your site? Hate to see your entire site shut down for trying to help get the files out to everyone. Thanks for falling on the bullet early for everyone.

My site is still up to carry the torch until Monday. www.gridcogames.com

Zip files

When I look at the zipped file with winzip I see there are 1472 files and no .exe file. How do you extract thses file to the proper directorys. If I extract all 1472 files to the main directory how will then get into the proper sub directory,ai,avi.config,db,GFX,map, music, sfx etc files. Patch 1.02 had one exe file and it unzipped to the correct directories what does one do with all these files (1472 of them)?

Wait till Monday

So If I wait until Monday I will get the patch from SFI in the proper form with one .exe file extract it to the main directory and it will send the 1472 files to their proper sub directories? This seems like it would be much easier then trying to figure what sub files the 1472 files go to?

Patch

Thank you but I will wait till Monday and see what the official patch is. If it is not the same as 1.01 and 1,02 Than I will not bother wirth it at all. The game is not that great or worth thtime it takes to figure out what directories 1472 files go to.And I will not mess with my registry for a sub par game. I think TOAW series is much better,EU2 is better,I even like the old Clash of Steel better. Micro management of every piece of resources is not my cup of tea.If the computer would auto do this then it would be a better game. From what I read here on the forums convoys are not easy to do,ships etc run out of fuel etc. This should not happen in a strategic war game. Any way I will see wht the official patch looks like on Monday.
