Ok this one has to do with saving my "appointments" to religious positions after I quit the game and then later come back and reload a save to continue where I left off. It's not saving my "appointment" characters in those positions.

I have this problem too. I think you have to save, quit, and then restart the game and reload. Appointed successors to bishoprics disappear if you save, quit, restart, reload.

(perhaps this is related to the bug where kingdom histories are deleted on reload?)

Hmm, works fine for me. Do you have any steps to reproduce this?

Yeah the steps are the same every game. As soon as I load into the game the religion screen is the first place I go and my appointed successors are GONE. I reappoint them, play for a little while then save my game and quit. Hours later or maybe a day I reload my saved game, goto my religion screen and they are GONE. Rince an repeat above over n over. The save game is NOT SAVING them.

Okay. Even though they're gone when you load up the save, the savegame could still be useful to us in determining what it looks like and what causes this issue. So if you could upload it here or on an external hosting site that would be appreciated.

When I load your savegame, bishop Brynjolf of Roma has a successor (Roscelin de Conteville). Is that not the case when you load the game?

Nope none of them have a successor. One of them I can't even select a successor because of some law. There should be THREE on the screen though, two I can choose and the one I can't.

And did you choose a successor for both of them or just this Brynjolf dude?

I could only choose two as I told you one was not in a investiture state. I now have a game where I can choose THREE and same thing happens. Once I reload the save they is all gone poor dog get no bone. lol

Here's the latest one: http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/2936/ck21.png

EDIT: Ok grisamentums way FIXED it. I saved and then quit the game entirely and when I reloaded that save then they were still in their positions. YAY ;)

NOW can you tell me how to REMOVE the dark clouds that are always passing overhead? I've tried turning of SKY and everything else I can think of and they still continue to float overhead????

Okay, it's possible I misunderstood you since the savegame worked for me on the initial startup.

Regarding your second point, unless this is fog of war that is WAD, please post it in a new thread.
