It is almost a job trying to conquer enemies with a hive mind early game. Even after winning a war, the unrest caused by processing is crippling. I cant have 10 armies stationed at 5 worlds to prevent the revolts, nvm the 7+ late game. Its tedious having to station a large army force at every world conquered. Failure to do this results in revolts and ultimately ends in the loss of all territory gained from the war. For some reason, hive minds aren't intelligent enough to exterminate pops via hard purging to avoid this problem. Simple put: Everyone hates hive minds, no friend option here, and taking planets and holding them just to process them is absurd as it most often fails due to revolts.. how am I suppose to deal with my enemies if I cant take & hold their worlds reliably and efficiently? Hives minds consuming entire planets on paper seemed like a excellent idea on paper, but it practice it is sub-par at best. Unless im missing something, hive minds are the most tedious play-style Ive ever played.

The solution(s):

A) Allow Hive minds to have access to all types of purging
B) Give Hive minds a civic {Hive Initiation Matrix(The Hive mind prepares a planet for processing by injection of large amounts of security drones)} that nullifies unrest from purging pops
C) Make 'Hive Initiation Matrix' a natural benefit of the Hive Mind
D) Give the Hive Mind at least a chance at diplomacy without bribes (Hive Mind -30>-20 Relations)
E) Got a better idea? Comment!

Well these are just my 2 pieces. If you have suggestions or believed I missed something, please tell me :)

Personally I don't find it too big a hassle to have 10+ armies on revolt suppression duty, usually I just laugh when the pops get extra faction attraction.

But I will agree that it is somewhat strange that there isn't options for how to purge them, or even just a bonus to unrest suppression for hive minds, seeing how much -unrest you can stack with other ethics.

While I don't think this is a big problem, I wouldn't mind seeing something like this introduced:

A) Faster canning (purging) for hive minds, which would lessen the chance of an actual revolt.

B) Other types of purging allowed, if not only for RP reasons.

C) Better revolt suppression, either a base -10 empire wide or extra from each army so you don't need as many.

D) A better revolt system so you can see it comming and deal with it accordingly, something like the EU4 revolt system.
