I've played a Hive Mind that got Fen Habbanis, and the only functional difference is that you don't get access to the trade/amenities districts. The housing, foundry, and artisan districts are still available. Though unless you plan on simply selling all of the consumer goods on the market, artisan districts are pointless for you. I don't know however what happens if you conquer one where the trade districts had already been built.

Thanks for the info. I Imagine that you had to build a lot of maintance depots. Rogue Servitors can use the consumer good. Hopefully the replace command for a build trade district would still work.

The "trade district" IS the housing district. For normal Empires, it gives 15 housing and 5 Clerks. For gestalts, it gives 15 housing and 2 maintenance drones.

Whatever. The fourth district type, whatever it is, isn't available for construction. I haven't used ecumenopoli too much as a normal empire, so I haven't memorized the names.
