Hive/Machine Worlds in 2.2 seem a bit...underwhelming

Ok... since I've actually played as a hive mind and built the hive worlds, I'll tell you guys what its like. Useless. Absolutely useless. It would be one thing if the Hive world somehow boosted population growth astronomically, but combine the fact that you need about (not exaggerating by a lot here) half your population to be MAINTENANCE DRONES for them to have a decent amount of amenities so you don't lose half of your production to low stability, Hive worlds are just meh... The game is balanced around internal trade giving you energy. Hives don't have internal trade, so you have pretty damn near no energy, meaning most of your worlds are going to be specialized towards energy and since you need to feed your little monsters, food (minerals just fall out the heavens seemingly never a shortage of minerals). I wouldn't care if they wanted to make them difficult to obtain and increased the energy costs despite the fact that energy is rather hard to come by without every other world being a generator world, just as long as the Hive worlds come with LOWER AMENITY requirements for the pops on them. cannot stress enough how annoying it was to deal with waiting for the pops to spawn to fill the technician jobs so that I could have energy but then losing the energy I did make once I had the pops cause I needed to have 3 maintenance drone buildings on a world with 50 pops. 19 of those pops were maintenance drones...

maybe, just maybe, internal trade in Hive minds could increase food income? then you could focus more of your worlds on energy and minerals making Hives and Hive worlds a true base resource powerhouse. I don't know. Hives just need someone to balance them out cause they are not in a grand spot for player enjoyment.
