saw it on AH, beautiful map! :)
I like how the borders are all crazy, and the Bolgar khanate still existing now is very interesting... have you done any outline on that yet?

Gotta agree with canonized, best graphic I've ever seen in AARland, I've always been jealous of the Photoshop whizzes around here but you sir leave me gob-smacked.

I'm slogging through this epic AAR at the moment and I'm glad I'm came into the EU3 forum by chance, brilliant, simply brilliant multi-media AAR, I bow to your craft good sir :)

Simply beautiful!

And please don't worry about your english!
It's perfectly understandable, and you DO make progress.
Anyway, it's the best way to learn and quite a task to write a story in a non-native language.

RGB, English Patriot, canonized, Ahura Mazda - Thank you guys. I`m glad you like it. :)

gigau
- sure. You mean something like this ?: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/thrashing_mad/Europemapcopy.jpg

gooy
- Yeah, I was thinking on making such map but it would need lots of work, and such map might be unreadable. :)

rcduggan Thank you sir - well actually they were defeated quite fast in CK game by Russians, later they were under mongol rule, however - they maintained their identity. Their territory was conquered by Siberian Khans in 1400s and they transfered their capital to Bolgar, from desolate and poor Siberia - as a result they were assimilated by Bulgars ( read - I changed their CoA, culture and name). :)

Dr. Gonzo - Welcome on board sir. I remember reading your AAR in vicky section not long ago - great work there. :)

Judas Maccabeus
- With reworked HRE system in MMG mod it is quite possible for Baden to survive up to Vicky period. :D

Cloudyvortex, Ringelnatz, Spencer_123 - Thank you. :)

Okay - I finished converting game progress to MMG mod - you`ll see actual gameplay info (income) in next small update. I just need to add few revolting countries and some new CoAs, but I plan to play first monarch this weekend. I`ve run several hands-off test-games and results were quite interesting. I`ll upload modified mod in case that someone want to try it.

Also as you can see, I removed Polish culture from some provinces. IMO such massive conversion of Balts and Ruthenians was implausible, even though it happened in CK game. However, I added Ruthenian and Lithuanian as accepted cultures, and I`ll remember to put appropriate Polish minorities there, once I`ll convert game to Vicky( were nationality is very important factor).

Besides, look at Polish income - it`s ridiculously high! I`ll need some king named Henryk soon. ;)

Quite sad that your European map doesn't have Krakow as one of the cities along the top, but that's how it is, I suppose... ;)

Lots of useful information in a pretty package. Interesting that nearly landlocked Hungary makes so many naval supplies. :p

English Patriot - hehe - no problem. I`ll give you one hint that can help you, and other interested readers. I took last map from your AAR, and made it to look more like old map:

epprzykad.gif

How to achieve such effect is very easy:
1. Open your map with photoshop.
2. Download and open this 'old paper' image. http://www.seancjohnson.com/sitebuilder/images/old_paper_800x600-752x717.jpg
3. Open it with photoshop
4. Copy/paste old paper image into your map to create new layer.
5. Select 'multiply' layer filter.

And it`s done - rest is just manipulating with colors, drawing borders etc. :)

Judas Maccabeus - Thank you sir. Actually I can open new CoT in EUIII for 500gold and under some fair restrictions. :D

My god.

That is amazing. I have to know how you did all the culture etc. maps with game-like graphics.

That's some overview of Europe! You hardly need any words to go with it.

Wow.

-----

My cultures map is a lot messier by comparison. I might have to animate that.

Excellent graphics as usual my friend. I am always humbled by your abilities, especially since I have none. If an incomplete grasp of the English language is your only hiccup (which I dont think it is, it is one of the things that makes your piece so unique) then you have me beat hands down.

that's right, but i guess that maybe some maps from the 17th or 18th century would be readable enough just for an overview :) of course it would be mostly impossible to tell where exactly is a specific game province but it shouldn't be an issue ;)

as for the cultural conversions i have to agree that in CK they happen too rapidly, but on the other hand is there a possibility of a cultural conversion in EU3 without any scripting ? because in the game's timeframe there sure were many such cases, closest example - a total germanization of pommeranians and polabian slavs.

and as for the awesome looking overviews i have to say that i'm happy too see that the maps are looking promising for a new eastern roman empire which might emerge (BTW is there a scripted event for the restoration of the empire? or if you plan to change it manually what conditions would the greeks have to fulfill ?)
and too bad that they khazars seem to have died out ;)

can't wait for the new update. GO POLAND !! :D

RGB - Well, I used my EUIII blank map as a basis, coloured provinces, made province borders disappear, draw borders of culture groups, applied old paper texture - and that`s all. As you can see I used same shades of one basic colour for each group - that`s why it looks as it looks. :)

grayghost - Thank you - Manchurian Candidate really don`t need any graphics, but you can always count on my help in case you need it. :)

rcduggan
- Ha ha - I don`t think it`s really a bad thing, especially since I`m one of those who promoted trend to use custom made maps instead of screenshots. :)

Ivanelterrible - Thank you sir - I don`t plan to finish it before the end date (which is latter part of XXth century), but it could take really long to finish this AAR. :)

gigau
- Thank you. =)

gooy - Yeah, I will consider using such XVIIth century style - might be interesting.

Yes, cultural conversion is possible in MMG mod, what you need is:

- capital with population above 250,000
- province with unaccepted culture
- less population in such province increases chances

Basically you can resettle small population of 'troublemakers' with settlers from your capital, but it won`t work on accepted cultures (in my case Lithuanian, Ruthenian) unless they`ll loose accepted culture status.

Yes there`s reworked MMG event that can restore Eastern Roman Empire - it can be achieved either by any Greek state (or Bulgaria), and what is needed is reconquered Constantinople (in hands of Naples) and some Greek provinces.

As for Khazars - I guess that it`s quite impossible for them to survive CK. :D
