Unclaimed Colonies

Taking control of an unclaimed colony is a gradual process based on constructing or seizing colonial outposts. This may also be accomplished by Diplomatic means. These colonial outposts consist of missions, coaling stations, trading posts and forts. Only one building of each type may exist in a single province.
A colonial power may officially lay claim to an unclaimed colony if it controls one building of each type (exception: coaling stations can’t exist in landlocked colonies) in an area that contains no foreign troops. In effect, they seize control of the buildings of all other colonial powers, thereby worsening relations with those powers. If foreign troops are present they must first be defeated. A state of war always exists in unclaimed colonies. NOTE: A nation may not station troops in a colony unless it has at least one building there.

Demand Cessation of Colonialism: You can demand that a country not colonize any provinces on a continent of your choice, preventing the selected country from building any colonial outposts there.

Very sweet. Are a lot of these events like "Our scientists developed X" the events that happen as a result of finishing the development of the technologies or do these messages just mean you finished the tech (are tech events separate from "our scientists developed..." statements)?

Continuing my personal stupid question barrage. Shouldn't there be an event for Texas to give up territorial demands and become a state of the Union to clear it's debts? Or are most of the non-Swedish events filtered out?

Looks interesting, but it seems the AI is incredibly stupid. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it seems like all wars which were started and ended in that log resulted in status quo peaces. Prussia can't even beat Denmark.

All? Were there more than 2 wars?
The war between Prussia and Denmark seems to have been started by an event, maybe Prussia wasn't really prepared?
