Just wondering what you guys think about my historical USA:
USA_armies_OOB3___.png

  • Sixth Army Group - Eisenhower's boys who naval invade Morocco, later join in D-Day.
  • Twelfth Army Group - Bradley's D-Day-boys.
  • 15th Army Group - This Army Group was commanded by the british Harold Alexander, but since you are playing as USA, Mark Clark will have to do for the Italian Campaign.
  • SWPA Command - MacArthur's Islandhoppers in the Pacific.

I know Jacob L. Devers was the leader of the 6th Army Group, but he's not in the game so Eisenhower will take his place.
After Fredendall & Patton have taken North Africa, Pattons 3rd Army can be moved to Bradleys 12th Army Group.

Clarence Huebner was not acually the leader of the 1st Airborne Army, but Lewis Brereton is not in the game so Huebner got his place.

Another note is that Jonathan Wainwright's 1-division army is the Philippines division, after Japan took over the Philippines, Wainwright was a POW for the rest of the war.

This is very nice, very well done. Mind sharing your sources for this OOB?

1 question: Why are the airborne divisions only 2x3? Weren't divisions like the 101st comprised of 3 Parachute Infantry Regiments with 3 Battalions each? 101st OOB

I know that not all generals are available in the game so there are some fillers, but my sources were readin the biographys of generals, read about the different armies both on wikipedia and on youtube documentaries and some inspirations from this thread.
And of course this site aswell: https://history.army.mil/documents/ETO-OB/ETOOB-TOC.htm

About the airbornes, you might be right on that one!

Something else, depending upon how historical you want to be

The armored divisions were reorganized, however two retained the old table of organization and equipment (TO&E).

Those were the 2nd and 3rd Armored, so these both have 6 tank battalions

The remainder of the armored divisions were 3 medium tank battalions, 3 armored infantry regiments, and 3 self propelled howitzer battalions. These were formed into typically into balanced formations CCA, CCB, and CCR.

Outstanding work nonetheless.

Interesting, how do you think those reorganized divison templates would look like?
