historical or non-historical ?

How do you chose a path ,is there a buton/option you can click when you begin a game or is it in the game integrated when you or if you chose some focuses ?

I believe you choose national focus, which is historical or not. Like Japan have a national focus tree which saw incident in China and then it divided into subdue warlord or war with China. As Daniel showed in www, he chose historical so he declared war on China. But you can also go with non-historical like subdue warlord like invading Canton for its rich resources and then pressed on into Tibet and Xinjiang without war with China

There's a button that makes the AI prefer focuses that align with their historical actions though.
