It looks like the lucky tags are hardcoded, so if you wanted to make Byzantium, say, lucky then you would have to change the files so that their code was one of the ten codes mentioned by Johan.Johan said:Historical lucky are these...
1) If less than 8 lucky countries exists...
- if its before 1700
SPA, (if SPA doesn't exist, CAS)
TUR
- Pick RUS, if they don't exist, then MOS
- GBR, if they don't exist, then ENG
- FRA
- HAB
- If PRU has 7 or more provinces, then PRU
- If NED has 7 or more provinces, then NED
- if before 1700, pick POR
-if before 1750, pick SWE
so at a 1399 start, you'd get CAS, TUR, MOS, ENG, FRA, HAB, POR, SWE always.
if still <8 lucky, pick random ones until 8.
While I agree, I'm not sure which of the 8 current historical nations should get knocked off to replace it. Sweden?de Ptysz said:I think that Poland should be lucky nations too. Commonwealth was very powerful country.

It would be cool if they were, with say strong RR bonus's for random lucky countries so that they emerge out of the ruins of another country. Like the Netherlands for example.

Make the Rebels that historically were successful lucky.
But probably too much to ask for.![]()

Thinking of it, it would be really cool if they was a 'choose lucky nations' option.
Afaik you can alter lucky nations in the save game, however there can't be more than 8This can be managed via Savegames, no? Or does the game automatically restore the default lucky balance if I modify the savegame?
This is really cool since we can simulate hypothetical situation (e.g. what if nation X were successful).
if only that ivanow guy was still hereCountries that get annexed and removed from the map during the game are NOT lucky countries.
