"historical" leader option at game start

I selected this without realizing what it would do. Now I have 100% land tradition and can't create new generals, which annoys me to no end. At the load save game screen the "option" button is greyed out. How do I change this option back to normal? Pointless having high military trad if you can't actually use it!!!

One thing I always wanted to do is play Ragusa with historical leaders... and maybe collapse into some tribalism, just for fun

So, you open the save file in notepad or some equivalent, and under gameplaysettings, the number to change should be the second (?). To get normal leaders, replace the number there with a 0. What are 'event' leaders by the way, never even noticed that option before today.

That means leaders only appear through scripted events/decisions. There are only a very few such events in the vanilla game (e.g. one random event that gives a conquistador or the "Maid of <city>" event that gives a female general) as so really this option is only useful if you use a mod.
