Theres instructions with each zip you download I believe. Also, they reccommend that you make a copy of the entire contents of the Doomsday folder so you if you screw up you dont have to reinstall.

From the Install.txt:

1) HIP v0.58 Graphics.rar (if not already installed)
2) HIP v0.66 Graphics.rar (if available)
3) HIP v0.67 Graphics.rar (if available)
4) HIP v0.67.rar

Just overwrite when it asks. Also they say you should delete save games and the other scenarios to help things along.

You mention that you are able to create Euskadi (a.k.a the Basque country) via an event . Would it be possible to do the same for Catalonia as during the Spanish civil war the generiltat of Catalonia (Catalonia's parliament), led by Lluis Company's seriously considered seceding from Spain to escape Franquist domination. This was to help gain British French and American support. All this can be covered in greater depth in 'The Spanish Civil War' by Antony Beevor.

Playing UK 1941 v0.067 in North Africa battles went great AI is useing air power great. Italy decarled on Greece I sent 5 divisions over to aid them, went to attack the Italians my Canadian and South African Divisions stop the attack right after I started, the 3 UK Divisions follow through on the attack. Is this a bug? It happanded once with HOI2.

I'm playing my first serious HIP game (0.067) as the USA, and I'm really impressed. Things up to mid-1941 have played out very realistically and almost historically, but with differences to spice things up.

However, it's September 1941 and Japan just declared war on me, and I'm confused by the sequence. I received a cascade of event windows that paused the game, including "Japan annexes the Phillippines" and a notification that my army in the Philippines had dissolved. These both happened in the same game hour, and there was no combat of any kind.

Is this right? Shouldn't Japan have had to fight my defenders before being able to control and thus annex the Phillippines? They had not declared war on the Phil.s before, and (I'll repeat) my fully-supplied and stockpiled army dissolved in the instant war was declared.

How does this work?

IIRC you should get the option to retreat or stand and fight. This event allows the Japanese to quickly annex territories that they were historically able to annex with little or no resistance. If you don't like it, load a saved same and don't retreat.

Well, the "Japan declares WAR," "Japan annexes Philippines," "Do you Retreat?" and "Your Army in Philippines Evaporated!" events all fired at exactly the same moment. There was no pause while waiting for me to chose "Retreat" or "No." I could chose No, but my army was already gone.

Perhaps something is wrong there.

the US doesn´t garrison Hawai at all. the unopposed conquest (air bases for my land based bombers) and the US ai trying to retake the islands made sure that the US navy was soundly defeated.

Bug

I found a bug. I conquered Poland in 1939. After that I got the choice to annex, puppet or grant independence. I puppeted Poland. At once an infantry corps (3 divs) arrives in Warsaw. But.... there are no officers in the pool for Poland! Nada, noppes, nichts. That can't be right. Also, they started researching naval techs. They are land locked :wacko: I guess the AI file needs some tweaking too in what to research and build.

I had that problem too, but I figured it was a WIP since the last couple times I played as Germany I didn't get the option at all.

I ran into an issue with puppeting Georgia. I figured, well, why not, not that many IC and they get more resources than I would, plus I can use those divisions to put down revolts, but imagine my surprise when Georgia becomes a national socialist country with +75 relations, instead of my puppet, and out of the Axis.
