I'm sure this has been asked before but why do some of the rule changes include "will disable achievements" including rules that the mod itself added, i mean certainly NO achievements can be attained at all due to it being modded right?

I believe the ironman mode check is hardcoded and simply cannot be skipped by a mod. It will simply always return a „no achievements” result.

Hydra2, a hotfix release for Hydra1, has been released. Definitely advised that you update, although save-compatibility is fine:

Would be nice if there was a playable Chinese character. Any plans on that, or not? I know you can create a custom ruler or land a Chinese courtier and switch to them, but that sort of thing has always felt a bit too cheat-y to me.
