I checked and you are correct, the later one is the "preferred, balanced bookmark". I started with that one and thus picked the right one.

Probably just you. There's no specific bonus to them. Probably a religious authority matter.

Not a secret hardcoded bonus maybe? I remember that east_african had a hardcoded malus to tech that drove me mad while modding for DK.

I'd just like to give a thank you to all the people involved in making this mod collection. I personally prefer playing CK II in 2.1.6. as I haven't much cared for any of the major changes to the game since then, and it's wonderful to find such a major mod that has older versions available. My next new game I'll be trying this out.

You will need to wait for mod update, I believe.

yeah i noticed it was not working, but then i saw the left of the screen had changed saying new map+ update and i was like, oh! guess thats why its not working

Just go to the Crusader Kings 2 properties on Steam and opt in to the 2.3.6 version under 'betas', it will basically keep your game as it was prior to the release of Horse Lords.

I think the latest compatible version for HIP is CKII 2.3.4, which isn't available on STEAM betas

For almost all intents and purposes 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 are identical. IIRC 2.3.5 was just updating the converter for Common Sense and 2.3.6 was just fixing 2.3.5.

Ah, so this hasn't been updated with the newest patch yet? I have lovely timing -- was just about to try this out. Been meaning to for a while. I'll just watch this thread and wait.

ditto. I was also hoping Meneth would work his magic again. I remember one expansion ago when Meneth had P.B. updated barely and hour after the release of the official patch

PB was a much, much simpler mod than any of the HIP mods today. Also, we're less focused upon the speed of the compatch and more upon the quality and comprehensiveness of the next release.

I have been playing EMF+NBRT on 2.4.1 and 2.4.2, off and on, since Thursday.
