And other assorted griping.

So first, I'm glad they finally(!) fixed the issue with Japan always joining the axis. However there is a now another problem I have encountered in every single one of my games that I haven't played as Germany or Britain thus far. That is that Germany picks "around maginot" in 1939... curbstomps Benelux and France by November of 1939, and then throws masses of combat power into north Africa, which combines with an almost unopposed and massive ahistorical attack out of Italian east Africa.

Fixing Britain's AI really should be priority number 1, since it is key to so much of the war on the allied side, like Germany is for the axis. However, in the interim, just adjusting the order that Germany picks focuses so that it doesn't choose "around maginot" until at least March of 1940 should do a lot to get things on track.

Yep. German AI, and to a lesser extent Italy AI, are very good at defeating the British and French AI now. Problem is that they *too* good at it, and it is very noticeable that especially the British AI just doesn't seem capable of defending against them successfully anymore. I do think that the current situation is overall better than it has been in previous patches, but it would be really nice if Britain could figure out how to build some forts in North Africa and defend Suez.

I don't agree on putting hard date destriction on "Around Maginot", Germany should take it as soon as it has finished with Poland.

This is only for "historical" AI focuses. Those are set pretty much anyways... I am just proposing they change the order a bit to make the historical path actually historical.

A longer term fix might be to have weather actually matter. There is an actual reason why most armies, with a few notable exceptions, don't launch major offensives in the winter. But that would have to be a fix for 2 or more years away.

Played a game yesterday, my friend play as Japan and me as Germany, we are almost following the historical focus (haven't declare war too early). British and France form the British-France union when i about to get to Paris. So no Vichy, no surrender. Then US joined war in 1941, with out pearl harbor. We have the historical focus on but it is totally broken.
