This tread have I dedicated to my beloved Wigeriche Dynasty. It's "broken" currently and have many historical errors which I have presented below with sources. My game version is 1.05g and I've taken info from the existing dynasties members for that.

The goal was to present historical correct information til the start date, then I don't mind at all what happened.

The essential parts which needs correction is the various marriages, names and title corrections. This is massive, but please do comment for this was tedious, but I'm done. Enjoy!

The Wigeriche Dynasty

1. First of is the founder of the dynasty, Wigeric Wigeriche a.k.a. Wigeric of Lotharingia, which current have no spouse (in game). However I've found sources that he was in fact married to Cundigunda Karling, the granddaughter of Louis II of France. Cundigunda Karling have no spouse in game so this was clearly an error in the research.

http://familypedia.wikia.com/wiki/Wigerich_de_Lorraine_(c880-c919)

2. Cundigunda Karling also have a son (in game) named "Otto Richweiner". I've snapped up some info that Cundigunda was married to a
X Richwin after she was made a widow when "Wigeric" died. It also rumord that she had a son with this "Richwin" named Otto (d. 955) = Otto Richweiner.
It's also rumored that Siegfried was the son of Richwin, but it wouldn't matter either way.

http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pmcbride/rfc/gw112.htm#I4712

3. Wigeric have four children (in game) named "Friedrich", Gonzalin, Luitgard and Siegfried. BUT, I've found sources that indicate that he had at least five children. The missing child is Adalberon, a bishop of Metz (d.962).

http://familypedia.wikia.com/wiki/Wigerich_de_Lorraine_(c880-c919)

4. Luitgard, the only daughter of Wigeric, married Eberhard of Nordgau, count of Nordgau, which she had one Hugo and Heilvis with (in game). My sources tells that she was married to a "Adalbert von Metz" before Eberhard of Nordgau. The Marriage produced a son named "Matfried von Metz" and ended when Adalbert died 944. She married with Eberhard of Nordgau directly after and she did get Hedwig and Hugh, with him, but also a third child named Gerard (d. 1024).

http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pmcbride/rfc/gw114.htm#I4714 - Luitgard
http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pmcbride/rfc/gw96.htm#I5368 - Eberhard
http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pmcbride/rfc/gw83.htm#I5335 - Adalbert

Luxemburger line

5. Siegfried von Luxemburg, son of Wigeric and Cundigunda, married Luitgards daughter Hedwig (called Heilvis in game).
According to you (the gamecreators) he had Heinrich V (duke of Bavaria), Friedrich, Luitgard and Kundigunda. In my knowledge he had at least got seven children, including Heinrich V of Bavaria, Friedrich, Luitgard, Kundigunda, Ewa, Dietrich, Ermentrude.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siegfried_of_Luxembourg - Siegfried with spouse and children.

6. Heinrich V of Bavaria, was childless.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_V,_Duke_of_Bavaria - Heinrich

7. Luitgard married Count Arnulf I of Holland (whom you call duke). She had three children: Count Dirk III (Whom you call duke), Siegfried and Adelina. You limit the children to just Dirk III and Aeidis (Adelina). You declared Aeidis dead 1025 (35 years old), by really she was born about 990 and died about 1046 (56 years old).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lutgardis_of_Luxemburg - Luitgard
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adelina_of_Holland - Adelina/Aeidis

8. Kundigunda married emperor Henry/Heinrich II (whom you currently call Heinrich I).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cunigunde_of_Luxemburg - Kundigunda
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_II,_Holy_Roman_Emperor - Heinrich II

9. Ewa married, the third son of Luitgard and Eberhard of Nordgau, Gerard. They got one child named Adeleide. (Both Ewa and Gerard doesn't exists as children to neither of their parents IN GAME. Which is an error, but not insufferable.)

http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pmcbride/rfc/gw102.htm#I5475 - Ewa and Gerard.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siegfried_of_Luxembourg - Ewa, daughter of Siegfried.

10. Ermentrude became a abbess, so creating a daughter to Siegfried whom is Celibate is a good alternative. (No info when she was born or dead, but close to the other siblings, I'm sure. Possibly middlechild.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siegfried_of_Luxembourg - Ermentrude

11. Dietrich (d.984) was the bishop of Metz from 964, who succeded Adalberon (son of Wigeric and Cundigunda) which makes it even more valid that they should exist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bishops_of_Metz#From_500_to_1000 - Dietrich I
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dietrich_I_of_Metz - Dietrich I

12. Friedrich married Ermentrude Conradine and had seven children: Ogiva, Heinrich VII of Bavaria, Ermentrude, Gisela, Friedrich I of Lower Lorraine, Giselbert, Drietich (in game). My sources indicates he had just two more children: Adalberon (d.1072) and Oda (unknown b. & d.), than in game, and all names are correct and have the correct spouses.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_of_Luxembourg

14. Friedrich son, Adalberon was bishop of Metz, succeded Dietrich, from 1047 to 1072. He died 1072. He doesn't exist and the current bishop of Metz (in game 1066) is always random and never a member of house von luxembourg.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bishops_of_Metz#1000_to_1300

15. Friedrich daughter, Oda was an abbess (no sources of birth or death) and should be granted the celibate trait i created. She doesn't exist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_of_Luxembourg

Bar-le-duc Line

16. Duke Friedrich I of Upper Lorraine, son of Wigeric and Cundigunda, married Beatrice Capét which he had three children with: Alice, Dietrich and Ida (in game). My sources tells that he had three known children: Bishop Adalberon II of Metz (b.958 d.1005), Dietrich I of Upper Lorraine (correct) and Ida (correct). (No Alice)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_I,_Duke_of_Upper_Lorraine - Freidrich with children and wife.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bishops_of_Metz#From_500_to_1000 - Adalberon II

17. Friedrich I, of Upper Lorraine, son, Duke Dietrich I of Upper Lorraine, married Richilde and had Friedrich, Gisela and Adeilis (In game). I agree.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thierry_I,_Duke_of_Upper_Lorraine - Dietrich with wife and children.

18. Dietrich son, Friedrich, isn't credited as a duke in Crusader kings 2. He's suppose to be "Duke Friedrich II of Upper Lorraine" from 1019 to 1026 when he died. He had three children, all of them is presented in game: Sophie, Friedrich and Beatrice. The son is called "Friedrich II of Upper Lorraine" (in game) but is suppose to be "Friedrich III of Upper Lorraine" who died young.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_II,_Duke_of_Upper_Lorraine - real Duke Friedrich II of Upper Lorraine
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_III,_Duke_of_Upper_Lorraine - real Duke Friedrich III of Upper Lorraine.

19. Beatrice is the mother of Matilda of Tuscany, Fredrigo and a third child "Beatrice" who died her first year (She doesn't excist in game).
She first married Bonefacio (which is in game by default) and then she married Duke Gottfried III of Lower Lorraine in 1054 (12 years before 1066).
(This marriage doesn't excist in game.) Add this marriage between Gottfried III and Beatrice.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatrice_of_Bar - Source on marriage
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matilda_of_Tuscany - Source on marriage (this is the wikipage you refer to Matilda in game which make it more valid.)

Ardennes-Verdun Line

20. The game refers Gonzlin to Gonzalin Wigeriche. He married Uda of Metz (which is correct) and had only "Duke Gottfried II of Lower Lorraine" according to the game, but he had one more son named Adalberon (d.989), Archbishop of Reims, according to my source.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigeric_of_Lotharingia - Gonzlin not Gonzalin
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adalberon,_Archbishop_of_Reims - Adalberon

21. There is a mistake about "Duke Gottfried II of Lower Lorraine". In reality the son was called Gottfried I of Lower Lorraine "The Captive", but it seems that "Duke Gottfried II of Lower Lorraine", whom is unmarried, is acctually the son of Gottfried I. Gottfried II was unmarried and childless, which fits the situation since the current children of "Gottfried II" has a mother but the mother insn't married to Gottfried II (in game). Real Gottfried I married Matilda Billung.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godfrey_I,_Count_of_Verdun - Real son of Gozlin = Gottfried I
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godfrey_II,_Duke_of_Lower_Lorraine - The acctual Gottfried II son of Gottfried I

22. Gottfried I 's children is according to the game: Bonnie, Gotzelo, Gerbera and Hermann, all have the same mother: Matilda Billung. In reality Gottfried I had at least six children: Goztelo, Friedrich (d. 1022), Herman (d. 1024), Bishop Adalberon of Verdun (d.988), Betram, and (of cause) Gottfried II.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godfrey_I,_Count_of_Verdun - Children
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertram_de_Verdun - Bertram
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothelo_I,_Duke_of_Lorraine - Gothelo

23. Gotzelo (b.967 d.1044.) was the Duke Gothelo I of Lower Lorraine, and later Upper Lorraine. Titled "the great". Wife is unknown, but the game have Ermentrude. He also had five children: Matilda, Gozelon I of Lower Lorraine, Gottfried III of Lower Lorraine, Pope Stephen IX and Oda(in game). All except Gozelon I is correct.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothelo_I,_Duke_of_Lorraine

24. Gozelon I was acctually Gotzelo II of Lower Lorraine. Only a name change is needed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothelo_II,_Duke_of_Lower_Lorraine

25. Gottfried III of Lower Lorraine was titled "the Bearded" and married to Doda before 1054 when he married Beatrice. (see 19.) One error with him is that he is apparently not very "bearded" in the game, but he was in the demo, which should be changed. He had three children with Doda: Gottfried, Ida and Wiltrude/Wiltrudis. According to the game he had a bastard named Judith, I agree with that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godfrey_III,_Duke_of_Lower_Lorraine

26. Gottfried III 's son Gottfried (later IV) is suppose to marry Duchess Matilda of Tuscany after 1066, but this is impossible to achive by playing and it doesn't happend in 1069 when it's suppose to happened. In game she generally marry someone else before the Gottfried IV can.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godfrey_IV,_Duke_of_Lower_Lorraine

There is still a lot of families with missing or incorrect members and it's quite tedious to name them all, but here is a good list of good changes that could be made.

Since you appear to hate historical bishops of Metz and abbesses I propose that you only need to read and take in the following numbers: 1, 8, 18, 19, 20, 24 and 25.
They include historical marriage changes to excisting characters and name- and title- corrections which suits the game.

If you could do nr 21 too, that would be very good as well since it's an error.

I can also provide you with wikipages for some of the family members to be linked with the characters in game.

Remember that characters who lived before the game starts and who didn't produce any off spring that was alive in 1066 pr held a title of duke or higher (to get the numbering correct), are often not in the game because they have no effect in the game (inheritance, title-numbering etc.).

They just aren't imporant enough.

I understand that and that's why I pointed out some of the errors because they mattered more (marriages, titles and name corrections).

They wouldn't ignore the post because of it's length, would they? :/

There's a lot of stuff missing from the change log -- for example there's no mention at all of Kurdish culture, or changing Devon/Cornwall to Breton (both very welcome changes).
