Hello, developers and everybody. I am here to suggest the implementation of treaties for some European nation-states. I noticed that the current implementation is similar to the Spanish and American wars with the indigenous (Wallace, 2018); however, some colonial nation-states (like Great Britain) started by making treaties with the indigenous for land (otc, n.d.). (I will post suggestions for further reading at the end). Now, we will explore my suggestions.
There are two ideas I have for implementing treaties: we could create a diplomatic option for establishing a treaty with an indigenous tribe, which will allow us to annex all their provinces, except for their capital because it will become vassalized. Some restrictions for this would be a positive one-hundred and ninety opinion with an alliance. The second idea is to implement it similar to buying charter lands, but we use subsidies, instead of a large sum because many treaties promised subsidies and protections. Now, we will explore further reading suggestions.
These are my website suggestions for further reading: the Office of the Treaty Commissioner for historical research and terms of the Canadian treaties and Native-Land to see a visual of the treaties and secessions to understand how different the approach towards colonization was for different European nation-states.
