Just wondering if you guys are going to keep the mod up-to-date as I cannot play the game and new dlc without HIP.

HIP update for Reaper's Due?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
You can always play the mod whitout the latest DLC, we'll just have to wait few days until the team update the mod to the latest patch.

You are going to have to wait for the team to compatch after the DLC comes out. We cannot do that before the DLC comes out, nor will we have any idea of what a compatch would take until that happens. Rest assured that the team will keep everyone up to date on the process.

Can you tell me estimated time of how long will it take for you modders to compatch the new patch ? A week , or few days ? First time using the mod I don't know how long it took for previous DLC's in the past. Thanks in advance.

Some DLC's take longer than others, and this looks like a big one, but, like I said, we just won't know until it comes out.

It'll be done when it's done. Just pretend the DLC doesn't release for a while longer—we've waited this long. Besides, maybe by the time HIP is compatched PDX will have fixed the new vanilla bugs that always come with the initial release.

Yeah, compatch triage isn't really complete for us until Paradox gets their inevitable open beta out of the way. I mean, we'll release a compatch for the first stable version, and while we won't do any official releases for the [inevitable] open beta patch series that'll follow (that's hell for both us and users, really), we'll be bringing in changes from the beta patch in our development version continuously as Paradox drops them.It'll be done when it's done. Just pretend the DLC doesn't release for a while longer—we've waited this long. Besides, maybe by the time HIP is compatched PDX will have fixed the new vanilla bugs that always come with the initial release.
TL;DR: Compatching a mod of this size is a major undertaking and highly uncertain / subject to forces beyond our control how long it'll take before one can truly dig into HIP again without requiring a hard hat.

I see... well, at least the new Fallout 4 dlc comes out in a few days and that should keep me while you guys sort everything out.

So related question: Should I just set to play the old patch (2.5.2), or could I still update the free patch?

If you want to play HIP, you definitely want to remain on the current patch.

Same. I still want to try to build an interesting world to convert to EU4, but seeing as that'll require playing without SWMH...I look forward to the compatch for HIP once The Reapers Due is released

It's nice to take a dip into vanilla from time to time. Always rekindles my desire for everything HIP brings.

Well I took a dip into Vanilla and could not stand to play it at all. ( Although I must say the game does run Smoother with this Dlc and Patch, Almost as smooth as silk ) But yeah I personally can not stand Vanilla Ck2.. Not when you have a 5 star meal that is HIP.. Nothing can compare to it.. and I mean nothing ( Well GOT is a close second )

Agreed, the map really does spoil you.
You think you can go back and then you try and realise just how awesome the map is. Though the slew of other features added by EMF is also really awesome.

That's what I'm doing right now. Reaper's Due is actually pretty good and I'm enjoying vanilla, although I keep getting dead before I can get an heir! Seriously, gone through 4 games so far.
I can already see how amazing the game will be with RD and HIP once it's updated.

theres is a cpr + mod on steam workshop that works fine for me its all the portraits and its the newest HIP CPR patch
