So I am not entirely sure how a multi-mod overhaul works in terms of updates. I'm curious whats going to happen with SWMH mod, basically the regular mod has only half of india and the no-india submod has no idea. Basically the SWMH mod is smaller than the vanilla mod. I was wondering if this is going to be addressed in a future update of HIP or if we need to wait for the SWMH team to fix it for the vanilla map?

Basically the SWMH mod is smaller than the vanilla mod.
The vanilla map has 1200 counties, while SWMH has 1600 counties (if I'm reading the history/provinces folder correctly). The SWMH map is already larger than the vanilla map, and making it even bigger would make performance even worse than it already is.

Also, the rest of India won't be added:
India was never a part of SWMH's map extension plan. The plan was already in the works before Rajas of India came out. Then came along Rajas of India, which created the expectation that SWMH, too, should include India. As a compromise, elvain, who was responsible for the Middle East and eastward, decided to include only northern India, his justification being that at least this part of India interacted with the rest of the CK2 map (for example, see the Ghaznavids).

This eventually led some people to think that SWMH "removed" or is "missing" much of India, but you see how that line of reasoning is problematic: SWMH never planned to include India, so SWMH never really "removed" India in the first place - what actually happened was that Rajas of India added India all of a sudden, thus creating a crowd that wanted to see India in SWMH.

That was more of an explanation on the circumstances, but no, the SWMH team is not considering adding any more of India.

Ahh! Ok I understand now. I guess I'm just a sucker for more zoomed out maps for CK2. But jeez I didn't realize they added 400 more counties, that is crazy. I might give the map a go again and see how I like it.

With the "claim Imperial title" decision, is there a way to adjust the requirements so that the AI at least won't fire it when they seemingly love the current emperor? It's just a little odd to see a duke who's at +100 opinion and is a loyalist on the council up and decide that 'ooh, the Emperor is corrupt!, better let me have it!'. Like maybe a block at +75 opinion?

I didn't want to create a separate thread asking. But generally I have all the song DLC and Sunset Insavsion turned off, is there any reason to have Sunset turned on for HIP?

HIP doesn't add or remove anything to/from Sunset Invasion, IIRC.

I'm not sure if this was the case in previous releases or not, but is it possible to "turn off" the "Bless with Luck" and Traits that give no negatives/positives at ruler designer. Those two things seem to stick out to me for some reason, its hard to not make the ultimate ruler at the beginning and the bless thing just seems a tad strange to me. Was just curious if it's possible to turn them off!

Yeah, I can take a look at this.

EDIT: Done. Opinion block is at +80.

No. The Ruler Designer costs are all-or-nothing, and we found too many people using external mods to unlock the Ruler Designer which were incompatible with ours. As for Lucky Rulers, this is a rather favored feature among many, and to provide the option to turn it off (just so that you don't see it in the menu) would require another decision/menu of its own, so meh.

Alright thank you for the response! I found myself doing a modular installation of turing off EMF and just enabling VIET events for some extra flavour. HIP is a package of nice mods I like so even if I'm not using EMF its still an awesome way to install these mods.

Hey folks, I'm probably doing something wrong and figured I'd ask it here. I'm using windows 10 and followed the installation instructions to what I thought was the letter. I unzipped everything into the mods directory in CK2 and from there ran the HIP.exe. I ended up with the folder labelled Historical Immersion project and then deleted all of the other files in the mod directory sans the original archive. When I ran CK2 in steam the checklist did not display HIP. Can anyone help me in identifying what I am doing wrong here?

You say "this happened," but all I see is some weird-looking vanilla-based map glitching (apparently because you restarted your computer?) and HIP active. To me, that means nothing. Why did you break it? ;)

Restarting your computer probably caused steam to update (what looks like a graphics) mod, which conflicts with LTM. Just make sure all your mods except HIP are deactivated in the ck2 launcher.

EDIT: for clarification, the launcher automatically reactivates mods sometimes when they're updated.

You say "this happened," but all I see is some weird-looking vanilla-based map glitching (apparently because you restarted your computer?) and HIP active. To me, that means nothing. Why did you break it? ;)

I have this problem with some other mods and I hoped that you would know how to fix this because you know more about the way mods work :D
