The core of EMF's recently overhauled religious setup has been ported to base SWMH. Most of the extended religious mechanics haven't and won't be ported, but those central to new religions have (e.g., the Isma'ili Caliphate Rising event chain).

Nope, this should be fully save-compatible. "Xth Revolt of the Y Revolt League" wars will invalidate on day 1, however, as we have transitioned to many different CBs for this type of previously-blanket war. That's the only upset of which I'm aware. The comment I made that you may be referring to was only for the beta; once users have the latest SWMH too (as they do in this download), it's compatible.

Wouldn't it be better to tie the levy bonus to cultures, rather than religions (if that's possible)? That way, Umayyads won't gain a bonus but possible Zoro/Zunist/Christian/etc. realms in the same region will.(EMF+SWMH) Total levy sizes and levy reinforcement rate for Muslims has been boosted a bit to counterbalance the fact that the Muslim world is very holding- and province-sparse compared to Europe on SWMH.
