Very much enjoying this mod. I like how it is fleshed out like ckplus while still feeling mostly vanilla. I've started a game as the byzantines and was wondering how much of the ckplus systems for the roman empire have been implemented here in hip? Particularly the Provence titles that combine dejure kingsdoms. Knowing if they are in will effect whether i take nibbles in all directions or if i focus on taking a whole roman province to avoid vassal limit problems
HIP doesn't recreate ancient roman "de jure" titles; for one, there was never any such thing in practice as a de jure roman province -- the governorships had very fluid borders more or less dependent upon the whims of the emperor and ambitions of the governor, changing significantly during their own lifetimes. Second, we're not of the opinion that a restored Roman Empire from Byzantium would actually want to create such ancient de jure titles (or had the authority to just render existing titles titular if held-- de jure territory is not something that can be decreed).
Also, you'll find that the Imperial Reconquest CB is tiered in EMF, and while it will let you nibble in many directions still, it definitely does put some constraints on which territory you can pursue at any given time.
