This is my first time playing this game in ages, but I can't find out how to start a coronation. My King is like 10 years into his rule and still hasn't had a coronation, I think I'm just going to console command away the modifier.

What modifier? The Uncrowned trait?

If you have Uncrowned you should be able to see the coronation decision provided:
  • You're feudal and landed
  • You don't have a horde culture (aztec or mongol)
  • Your primary title isn't a vice royalty (which shouldn't be possible any longer)
If that's not the case, I'd wonder if something isn't wrong with your install.

If you don't have Uncrowned, however, then your realm doesn't use the system anyhow.

I'm a republic, which is probably why the decision isn't in the intrigue tab. But if so why do I even have the uncrowned trait to begin with, are republics supposed to have this? My initial ruler didn't have it.

Good question. Looking at the code, only a feudal ruler should get Uncrowned. Was your heir already a ruler and feudal when their inherited the republic?

Good question. Looking at the code, only a feudal ruler should get Uncrowned. Was your heir already a ruler and feudal when their inherited the republic?

They weren't a ruler per se, but they were married to a feudal ruler.

EDIT: My heir (and now ruler) was and still is in a matrilineal marriage too, which is forbidden in republics, but he got into it while feudal I guess. Perhaps that's causing the issue? He probably shouldn't have been able to inherit.

I doubt it's the matrilineal marriage, but possibly it's that a non-ruler in a feudal realm might still satisfy the "is_feudal = yes" condition on the day of inheriting the title. I'll have to check it out, and see if I can replicate the issue. Thanks for bringing it up.

No, that doesn't appear to do anything. I've only been able to replicate your bug when a king-tier MR has an heir who is already a landed feudal ruler, but not otherwise. So I'll have to deal with that anyhow, and it may deal with your situation. Would appreciate the contents of your version file even so.

Game crashes when starting. The bar almost fills, then the music starts getting choppy, then CTD's somewhere around "Loading Graphics".

Question: How do we find the Imperial Decay number?

If it's not 10 or higher, you can't - it will only display when it changes.

If it's 10 or over, the range will be on the modifier and you can look at the Reduce Imperial Decay decision for the exact number.

Question: How do we find the Imperial Decay number?
Go to the file decisions/emf_imperial_decisions.txt and move the OR statement from the potential section to the allow section of the decision emf_lower_imperial_decay. This will allow you to mouseover the Reduce Imperial Decay decision and see the exact number even when you have less than 10 Imperial Decay.

anybody else getting terrible performance from zeus7? my game is taking about 3 or 4 minutes to run through an entire year, with a 10 second freeze on january first each and every year. i'm running with everything except arkointerface, SWMH, viet events and LTM.

No, I can't say that I've noticed any difference on my machine.

Been playing as the Byzantine Empire, loving the new imperial mechanics although it does seem easier to hold it all together. Meanwhile (in the 867 start) the Abbasid Empire has been suffering badly from its court anarchy and has essentially fallen apart completely, with rebellions, Turkmen, Magyars and Crusaders having torn it apart. I think the court anarchy trait upon start has made it a bit too weak.

Very much enjoying this mod. I like how it is fleshed out like ckplus while still feeling mostly vanilla. I've started a game as the byzantines and was wondering how much of the ckplus systems for the roman empire have been implemented here in hip? Particularly the Provence titles that combine dejure kingsdoms. Knowing if they are in will effect whether i take nibbles in all directions or if i focus on taking a whole roman province to avoid vassal limit problems
