It wouldn't happen. They fill very different niches and just because they are collaborating now doesn't mean a merger is anywhere in anyone's plans.

A little bit off topic but I didn't see a question/FAQ thread anywhere.

I just started HIP the first time (have played CK+ before) and the casus belli stuff is making me cry right now.
How do I gain them in HIP? In CK+ (and vanilla) that wasn't a problem and whenever I wanted to conquer stuff I just did. I had casus belli like "conquer kingdom X" that would allow me to take possession of all counties within a kingdom.

In HIP I only have casus belli on single counties and I can't even push all these claims in one go, instead I'd have to declare war on the same guy multiple times to force my claims on several of his counties.
This seems rather fucked up and makes the game really boring. Like I started with Wessex and right now I'm just sitting there for decades without being able to reunite the UK. I can't even take possession of the whole of Mercia or York. I literally only gained 2 or 3 counties with casus belli from my vassals. However, it's really stupid to start an all out war for just a single county. If I start a war I want to be able to take all territory I can.

Am I missing something or is this just the intend of the HIP mod?

Are you sure you have played vanilla? Because if you have ever played a christan in vanilla then you would know CB's really aren’t that much different in HIP apart from holy war being limited to once every few years and in some ways is less restrictive, for example letting you press de jure claims on entire duchy’s with high enough crown authority rather than county at a time like in vanilla.

Rylock and I have been going back and forth upgrading the Plus factions and civil war system to make them more robust (100% coherent behavior re: civil wars at all times in all cases is the goal, as the previous system in Plus was a bit janky in that respect) as well as better-suited to code sharing and, finally, extending the associated feature set in some neat ways. Some of our experiments so far have been some big timesinks that didn't work-out, but we think we're on the right path now. The result will be something that's a lot better for both Plus and EMF, when all is said and done.

But this is what we're doing: working together. We are sharing the bits of code that look most tasty to each other for our separate mods (e.g., Plus has gotten some new features-- e.g., the province culture/religion "fixer" for HL's stupid monocultural nomad mechanics, New World Order, and EMF's custom demesne law system for their next release so far), and we are joining heads to work together on some of the harder problems that we've common interest in facing (e.g., extended civil wars). It's important to understand the distinction between such open collaboration and "merging," because we are providing separate products, even if they will inevitably become a bit more similar _in the ways that we like_ over time as we do this sort of thing together.

The analogy to arguably the best way to approach personal relationships is valid: there's no point in us thinking too far ahead, because what we're doing now is just fine to our liking, and we'll see where it takes us. We do know that Plus and HIP have different demands placed upon the core overhaul components (in Plus, that's just Plus-- in HIP, that's EMF)-- performance, e.g., but also different values. So we're just respecting each other for our differences and leveraging what we have in common-- definitely not in any hurry to tie any knots. ;)

Hello, thanks for offering the mod, and May I need some help on CB in new world order
What is the mechanism behind the rapid CBs? I'm a little confuse.
I started the game in Flanders and shatter everyone to dukes, and I enabled the rapid conquest CB.
But I can only use the conquest ruler CB to holland duke and subjection CB to Utrecht, niedeesachsen.
And for the Artois and Brabant, gales, Hainaut, Friesland , I can only use make tributary CB
The same for when I start the game in nikaea, I can use subjection CB to the most dukes in nikaea kingdom but not all of them, I have no conquest ruler CB to anyone nearby, I do have no CB cool down enabled..
And I only have make tributary CB to Thrace and other part.
I'm confused on how this CB comes out, it seems like it is not culture, religion or de jure stuff related.
I searched in the forum and I did not find any info.

Secondly, I played this mod in multiplayer and found out it is very easy to crash. If I host the game, and my friend linked in, it is often said that xxx is no longer sync, and further more, my friend's game will force closed without any error message.

Thanks

I know but hey we can all dream
Of bloated mods with incoherently mixed mechanics and aesthetics that will never be able to run with SWMH and not cause your computer to catch fire? :p

Different niches: different user-facing mods. Some neat common features between the mods that make sense for each mod's niche: openly, freely shared and co-developed by both Rylock and myself.

Modular model best model.

Is there anyway to change the religious setup in New World Order? For example, having Persia start with Zoroastrian rulers, Greece with Hellenic rulers, etc. ? I could swear there was a mod that did this. Or at least to randomize religions so every ruler/realm is a assigned one at the start..?
Are you talking about Ancient Religions? not compatible with the full HIP

The next version of CK2Plus will have a copy of my New World Order feature from EMF that also has the additional option to randomize religions ala Ancient Religions. EMF isn't planning to integrate any parts of Ancient Religions any time soon (or probably ever), so you'll have to go to CK2Plus if that's what you want (after their next release, which will also be featuring a few other things from EMF).

So my current game as Byzantium, the Seljuks are unstoppable! I can raise 20k levies with a loved ruler, the Seljuks can raise 50k with an average one, and up to 80k with one who has ruled for a while. Any war with Rum I have to blitz them before the Seljuks arrive, and when a Jihad was called, it turned into a World War: Seljuks and all their vassals, versus the Byzantine Empire (me), the Kingdom of Jerusalem, Hungary, Croatia, and the Holy Roman Empire. I barely managed to get a White Peace after taking 1500 gold in loans and exhausting my levies (even then I ended with -900 gold), Hungary and the HRE weren't in good shape either (levies depleted too), and Jerusalem was conquered by the Seljuks right after.

Now I dread the Seljuks coming after me again. I'll have nightmares about that unholy blob. But I do love how this mod makes even the Byzantine Empire challenging.

Where did you start from? I'd love to see screenies.

I don't think i've ever seen the Seljuks do that well before myself

I started from The Alexiad (1081). Here's a couple of screenshots:

This is about 10 years after the Jihad. I had to expel the Jews, which cleared my debts, but now I won't be able to take any more loans for a while.
