Ive had a particularly difficult time creating the britania empire. I play as William the Conqueror. I always take england, france, scotland, isles of men, and wales with no problems. I just have to fabricate or breed my way in to everything. However, Ireland......Thats the hard part. There isnt any "duchies" or any similar titles. Everything is Kingdoms, so Fabricating is tideous and boring because going county by county..... waiting for the truce periods to cool down.... tbh, makes Ireland not even worth bothering with. Im now covering most of spain.
My question is, is ireland supposed to be all kingdoms? Kingdom of Tara is just a placeholder title with no real value since everyone elses titles are kings.

I tried one game starting as ireland. After a century and only half the island conquered, i gave up.

Use Papal claims when your chancellor is too slow. There's bound to be someone who the Pope doesn't like, so maintain 100 opinion of the pope and bother him for a claim from time to time.

... Ireland is not full of kingdoms. It's a bunch of duchies and independent counts, except for _one guy_ with a _titular_ kingdom title. I don't see what "kingdoms" has to do with anything.

Then his complaint is simply that he can't find a nice CB to rapid-conquer Ireland, then.

I mean if you're that intent on conquering it rapidly and also want to have an interesting game experience, start as one of the Norse guys there and select the 'become king' ambition. Bam. Rapid CB. Then you can later convert to Catholic and wait for the Norse-Gael event to fire (or manually culture convert if you wanna be lame).

See? This is a game that i havent chosen a character yet. Highlighting all of the areas in Ireland...They are indeed kingdoms. I included the other english petty kingdoms and principality to show that Ireland is jacked up no matter how many times ive reinstalled this mod.
hUB2hkC.jpg

Thats why Ireland is no fun! There are no duchies or petty kingdoms. Hence me having to fabricate claims one county at a time....with a long cool down between each.

Hmm, i dunno then. I downloaded this mod and installed it with the current version listed in the downloads (i did the process three times). I dont change anything in the default installer.

It seems to be only Ireland.

The only mod im using besides this one is Your Personal Castle.

Ive disabled Personal Castle, deleted the mod folder this mod is in, and reinstalled the download file from the download area. Installed all the default settings. I ran the game with only this mod installed.

Still the same issue. All of Irelands areas are Kingdoms

This is what you should see once you enter the game. One Kingdom CoA (Tara) and a whole bunch of Duchy CoA's that can be forged claims upon like normal Duchy titles.

The Other titles might be called "Kingdoms" but don't let that fool you, they are Duchy-level titles and you are able to forge claims on them like you do with any other duchy title.

That is not the normal "Vanilla" version of the latest SWMH release. Ziji and i wasn't lying to you earlier. In the normal "Vanilla" version of SWMH only Tara is a Kingdom.

What mod combination are you using and which version of them are you using?
The guy is using SED, but it’s the same in SWMH: Irish duchies are all called Kingdoms.

@LordDeTracy This is just like the situation where some cultures have Petty Kingdoms, functionally identical to all other duchies. You can fabricate claims on Irish Kingdom duchies just like any duchy. If you haven’t succeeded in fabricating anything but county claims in Ireland, it’s just a coincidence.

I realised i should have used a screenie to explain my point instead. I responded a bit too quickly with the first post. The second post with the screenie should clear up any misunderstandings that he might have. They are all called Kingdoms without SED as well, but as you and i both know and as the screenie shows there is only 1 Kingdom in Ireland.

It's a good skill to learn to look at the CoA's instead of letting yourself get confused by title names.

Hi, I was playing as a Sunni character today and I believe the mechanic to appoint "court imam" for the council doesn't work. It works for catholic and orthodox characters though.
Have you already got a Court Imam? Muslims can't fire their incumbent ones.

Is there an end date for HIP mod? I am currently in the year 1443 I believe and I am ready to transfer to EU4.
It depends on the modules. 1517.1.1 with EMF, vanilla default 1453.1.1 without. (SWMH without EMF: 1492.1.1. But if you’re using SWMH, I think its EU4 converter is defunct for now.)
