NOTE: You may want to re-download for a bugfix relating to nomad settlement. The bug could leave stray game state that might screw-up other nomad settlement in related territory, but if you upgrade to the newly-uploaded version linked to in the OP (or the EMF beta), all traces of that, if it should happen to have occurred in your games yet, will be cleaned from your save, and the bug is, of course, fixed.

Anything downloaded after Mon 2015-10-05 22:10 GMT is just fine.

I was poking around with \common\trade_routes\00_silk_route and noticed one of the commented out trade routes has a province error. I'm not sure if this was the only reason it was commented out or not but figured you might want to know.

There was a quick, unimportant fix re: that file that I also threw in while I was at it.

Very old age health modifier is still at -2.5 for 60+. This is a reduction in health of 2.5 from vanilla. Just an FYI. If you really intended this, I'll just keep mental track of this in my mind and make sure that I change this every time a new version comes out. I like my leaders to survive into old age once in a while. :)

Yup, thanks, you’ve got your eyes open. The answer is that several provinces were renumbered since the trade routes were originally plotted (a real headache of a process), and we didn’t bother updating the IDs in the trade routes branches which had been written but left out. Why are they written but left out? I couldn’t say; @theKing1988 designed the original structure of it.

Hey, if you ever figure out how to get the SWMH trade routes displaying with circles correctly showing up at all the start and end nodes, and without that awkward bend at Homs… let me know. ;)

I designed the routes through Persia. The reason for leaving that branch out was the already high density of provinces with trade route in the region which would make Persia too rich, IIRC.

I assume that today's patch doesn't change anything since it's just fixing modding related issues?

It's not save-incompatible, but it does change a few things. Hordes have some bugs fixed, the HRE is more likely to form, etc. Little things, but not just modding related issues.

It's better to postpone the update then...

Oh, I thought you meant the patch of HIP, not the patch of CKII! No, the patch today for the main game was just modding issues.


I'm a little confused. Then, the saves for the version before of HIP are compatible with the HIP new version (if I am using the SWMH)?

BTW, I see the Tribal Armies ahven't been removed yet. is it going to be for the next update?

Do you plan on correcting ( or trying to correct) the tributary issues? It totally ruined my ironman game...

Also slipped through the cracks. I'll try to get to it within the next few hours; there is always the option to keep up-to-date with such changes by installing the EMF Beta.

Note that Ironman is strongly discouraged since patch 2.4 with mods due to save corruption issues, BTW.

Oh, you’re right! I knew something seemed odd about my recollection. King was just the most recent editor of the file (before me), renumbering those provinces.

Awesome! And so happy this is compatible with the previous version too. I've been (slowly) playing a game with the last release that I'm really liking. I'm playing Chutizi in the 867 start, currently on my second ruler after my initial ruler's 40 year reign. Still got time to use the new HRE formation mechanics to get the AI to form it which is great news!

Usually with new releases I just start over, but I don't want to this time. What's the best way to upgrade the mod? Should I just delete the old HIP folder like I usually do or will installing it over top work OK?

Just like normal installation... Delete any preexisting modules/ folder from a past HIP install/extraction, and extract the new download archive into your mod folder. The installer will worry about the rest.
