Howdy folks!
HIP has its own Discord server so that you can keep in touch, meet other HIP players, and directly talk to some of the HIP devs that are almost always logged-in, such as myself. It's also a great way to organize a HIP multiplayer game (though it takes some scheduling discipline & other things to go the last mile and actually make those multiplayer games happen, of course).
And you're invited! Invite link:
https://discord.gg/tRznmMc
[ It can also be previewed and accessed via http://hip.zijistark.com — which happens to contain an increasingly useful amount of other HIP stuff too. ]
Don't know what Discord is?
Discord is an application that allows real-time chat, group voice chat, automatic integration with all of your games (which, of course, consist entirely of CK1 and CK2, right?), segregates topics into their own channels, etc. [ official website for them: discordapp dot com ]
While it's super handy for a lot of things, this forum also excels at certain kinds of things that Discord doesn't (e.g., ease of quoting specific messages even if there are many unrelated interim messages — Discord makes this relatively difficult vs. ParadoxPlaza's XenForo forum software, which makes it a breeze), so participating in both is strongly recommended.
Mode and nuances of the type of communication that both bring to the table aside, participation in this forum is mandatory if you have, e.g., critiques or suggestions that you'd like to share with us regarding the map & history & cultural naming elements of HIP (i.e., the domain of the SWMH module, as the SWMH team doesn't login to Discord often, and it's honestly just a poor way to submit that kind of information to them).
I look forward to seeing you on the HIP Community Discord Server. I really appreciate additionally having a much more intimate means of casual chat with our players, submodders, and other modders, and I'm not the only one!
Cheers,
