Since y'all dont seem to have a newbie intro spot, I'll just plop down right here and say hihi.

I just ordered HoI2 Anthology off of Amazon. I will have it in my hot paws on Tuesday.

I will then begin to regale you all with endless questions such as:

Why is (insert offending thing) done this way?
What about...?
How do I...?
Where is the...?

I am one of those fine upstanding folk that honestly believe that reading the owner/operator manual is cheating. All a good man needs to know he can learn by asking his buddies.

Got the game awhile ago. Opened it up, grabbed the disk, installed it all and then...

The manual! OH MY! That's a book with enough words in it to contain a philosophy, a religion, a manifesto, a revolutionaries handbook, a guidance instruction for a post doctoral dissertation AND an improvised weapons guide all in one.

I am keeping the manual in a secure place under 24/7 video monitoring. I think it's alive. Probably of outer galactic origin.

I've attempted a transfer of knowledge by contact. No matter how hard I slap myself on the head with the manual, none of the concepts cross over to my brain.

I think I'm gonna mount the book to a post and try ramming it into my thoughts by building up momentum by running at it in a dead sprint.

Seriously though... It's good to see a game of good complexity with an information dense manual. It's been the habit of game developers lately to skimp on both ends of production... build simplistic games with next to no instruction on how to do anything.

The more I play with Paradox stuff, the more of a fan I become.
