My venerable old laptop gave out (just shy of its 6th birthday... it served me well), so I went and got myself a new one (MacBook Pro 15-inch Retina.) I'm running Windows 10 through Boot Camp, and managed to get the game (TFH via Steam) running.

(I should also note that I wanted to get the old one replaced soon-ish, anyway, so I could run HOI4... :D Just wish it could've waited another couple months for the MacBook Pro refresh. C'est la vie.)

Problem is, until HOI4 is out, I still want to keep playing HOI3... and this laptop has a high-DPI (Retina) display, and I prefer playing in windowed mode. Just increasing the resolution in the game, or decreasing the resolution of the whole display, hasn't resulted in anything approaching usable or playable without constant squinting.

So, has anyone figured out any to get this acceptably playable on these newfangled high resolution displays?

Actually, I found out my problem tonight. Either something set... or I set it at some point... 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' in the Compatibility tab of hoi3_tfh.exe. Unsetting it, I get my nice big usable window back.

Fsckin' Microsoft... I'll get my new laptop to the way I like it eventually. I hope.
