was testing several machine empire builds and so far I have a 100% chance for a leader to suddenly die within 10 years.

Is that normal?

In the wiki, in 3.2 there's a roughly 12% chance for a Machine leader to die every 10 years, or 2% for any given leader category. It shouldn't be a constant, but bad RNG is bad RNG.

There's a roll once every decade, with a 12% base chance that one of your leaders dies.
There's a Synchronicity tradition that you can pick to reduce this chance by 50%.

Or if you care a lot, you can unassign your leaders just before the decade concludes, since unemployed leaders cannot be affected.

Generals and Rulers are immune to it though.

The base 12% chance of it happening in more detail:
- 2% Governor
- 2% Admiral
- 2% Scientist (Assigned to a Ship)
- 2% Scientist (Physics Research)
- 2% Scientist (Society Research)
- 2% Scientist (Engineering Research)

So 8% for employed Scientists basically.

Generals can't die? They combine the power of immortality with the one of being totally useless. Impressive
