USA AAR Session 8

The American army is now fully into this war, though it has so far been easy going for most. The airforce has surely had the hardest time.
American strategical bombers have destroyed supply lines in india where japanese had moved forward as well as pacific islands have been made into crates prior to british marines flushing out shaken japanese troops.

The US army's first objective was to secure Brazil and pacify Argentina. The argentinian army has been taught a lesson. All key areas in Argentina will soon be in American / Brazilian control.

In the pacific the Japanese is getting under such a preasure that the indian front is being evacuated, Japanese homeland will soon be under direct attack. 90 % of the key islands are in allied hands, Taiwan has been liberated, as well as okinawa is now occupied by americans. Lately Seoul has celebrated seeing the american liberators arrive.

Uk Aar

The naval victory of Trafalgar has been repeated. The Japanese navy has been crushed. The Japanese fleet challenged our mighty battlefleet taskforce, the battle took place close to Java and in the heavy tropical rain the Japanese carriers could not launch their planes and under the skillfull leader of Admiral Cunningham our bb got within range. The Japanese ships were blasted into pieces and when the terrified Japanese ships tried to flee the slaughter our Brazilian friends sent their naval bombers after them and sunk many ships.
With this naval victory the decision was taken to go on the offensive against the Japanese. The Americans had scouted several Japanese islands in the pacific ocean and we sent our tough marines to aid assault on these islands. The Japanese were not able to offer much resistance as their islands had been bombed to ashes by huge squadrons of American long range bomber planes and the allied navy offered much bombardment on those islands. When the British marines had taken an island, they got a day rest on the beach before it was off to the next island.
The Japanese had not learned their lesson outside of Java and sent another fleet against us. First this took us by surprise and a lightly guarded transport fleet was surprised, but it could quickly seek protection in a Dutch port and we only suffered loss of a light carrier. Our bb fleet was busy protecting the Americans at the Philippines and had to hurry back to Java. Again the Brazilian torpedo planes attacked the Japanese navy and gave away their position. Our bb fleet could then hunt down the Japanese once more.
Soon the Japanese homeland will be invaded and the treacherous attack on us and the Americans will have been avenged.

With the bulk of the allied navy, army and air force busy in the Far East the so-called new roman emperor got the courage to attack one of our islands in the mid. This they will soon regret and after Japan has been force to surrender, they will know who is the next nation to be kicked out of the war.

The first counter offensive

Air battles:
After the German attack was halted in late August, the battle places changed from land to air. While we had planes in huge numbers we were at disadvantage against the Germans. This was due to our troops was the primary concern and got nearly all the available production to have the upper hand over the enemy with better quality and more quantity weapons than they can throw at us. Thanks to this our defence line was never broken. This left the air force use underpowered planes against the Germans. Moreover while our pilots just went thru their first dodge fights, the enemy pilots already had huge experience from the battles against UK and allies months ago. Plus their leaders and tactics were far better than ours when the war started.

The first air battles took place over the northern front between Riga and Konigsberg, the overambitious air generals quickly despatched hundreds of planes on the first sight of enemy planes, which caused many casualties in both planes and pilots. While our air fleets licked their wounds, for weeks the enemy bombers freely bombed our defensive lines and retreating soldiers alike, however they gained little advantages by this kind of bombing. Then we engage them for 2-3 day , this fights were more balanced than the last ones and many German planes never got home mostly bombers, but again our planes had to fall back to regroup. It was clear we can’t defeat the axis air power so we had to change strategy and we decided to do hit and run attacks. We tried to split enemy airpower to more than one region, and when we saw a region where only a handful of enemy patrolled, in hours our pilots ambushed these planes by 2-3 times more. These kind of attacks brought great victories to SU, but sometimes the enemy reinforcements were too quick and the fight took more time than we wanted. I could say the overall kill/death statistics are balanced, and with every passing day our pilots are more experienced slowly reaching the Germans’. The winter brought us new type of fighter which is faster and can dish out greater punch than the German ones, so to speak as in land we will dominate the skies in the near future.

You already aware of their firs t success against Berlin in July. Where they landed in stealth and quickly moved into the industrial core of the German Empire ,then demolished everything while the Germans bombed their capital , none of them survived, they are heroes of the communism and a new Stalin statue was build in Leningrader where they left our shores. The second marine units made quick landings and raiding attack along the whole undefended Baltic shoreline ,they fought in Finland and multiple times in northern Germany ,they survived so many battles ,until mid December when their ships was torpedoed during course to Leningrad for resupply. Hopefully they will get another Stalin statue when we will reform our navy in the future to boost the newbie’s moral.

Navy:
However the Italians made a success against our navy in the black see where they bombed our south fleet and sunk nearly all ships, our planes arrived too late to Sevastopol . On the north the German bombers started a campaign against Leningrad ports and ships in the region. The shipyards were bombed day and night for months; we’ve tried to clear the airspace several times but failed to do. These bombing runs used more IP, than the building the whole fleet of the SU , so I could say they worth their price. Even German generals said, they’ve never fought against such a sturdy enemy as my subs.

Land: I’ve already said the German attack was halted in August but didn’t mention our first major counterattack which has happened in September. This campaign started with an attack on Konigsberg where we nearly captured the city , only the huge axis losses prevented us to change the flags. The Germans quickly started to strengthen the city by redeploying troops from the middle front ,which lead us a chance to push back the enemy and break thru the river line. The next session was a full scale attack to capture north-east Hungary and pour into East Germany thru this gap. We used out the winter to fortify our positions against the inevitable roman and Spanish counterattack, this worked wonderfully and the whole German front collapsed for a week or so when a huge battle took place over a province. The province changed occupier several times and after I cancelled the further attack due to weather conditions weren’t in favour of us. The battle was so harsh that it coasted 100k+200k wounded casualties for the red army and lots of armoured transport cars and supply trucks. The axis suffered even more, the numbers aren’t exact but around 200k German died +300k wounded + nearly a hundred tanks were blown up ,and the roman counter attack coasted nearly a 500k lives for the axis. I’m sure they couldn’t keep this losses for another week but neither my army, when the weather will be good again we will continue the attack where we stopped and this time axis won’t be saved by it

Italy

We have annihalated 6 more UK divisions in a chain of amphibious attacks on Cyprus ond Rhodos and severely damaged several allied fighter squadrons in the mediteranian, unfortunately the defeat of Japan has freed up the Intire allied airforce and the arrival of the American navy in the Mediteranian has put a complete halt of all axis offensive operations in this theater. We where though briefly able to take Suez in a daring amphibious assault, it was however to little and to late. We have retreated all forces from this area in good order back to Greece. We have also wisely abandoned Cyprus and Rhodos and retreated the island defenders to Grece. However 4 Bulgarian Divisions where left on Crete to defend that as long as possible. Which they did gloriously and defeated the initial allied attack. However the huge amount of airpower the allies are able to throw at us where decisive in the end.

The Soviets tried to attack into Romania along the black sea coast. After initial succes a combined Italian, Spanish and Romanian counter attack defeated the Soviet troops. During the following bombardment of the retreating communist forces, the Soviet divisions lost thousands of soldiers and much mechanised and motorised material. The Italian and Spanish forces had very limited looses, the Romanians which where defending against the initial attack did suffer minor losses. Nothing in comparison with the huge Soviet looses during the counter offensive.

We now face overwhelmingly allied forces in both Land air and sea. The allied airforces used against us at the attack on Crete numbered atleast 50 airunits of different types. We are nevertheless determined to fight on. A joint air counterattack by German and Italian airforces saw initial succes and soundly defeated some allied airunits. In the following Airbattles, we where however, so decisively outnumbered that we quickly withdrew with minor losses.

German Wünderwaffen has begun to strike fear in the allies, Which has forced them to divert airforces to the defence of the UK. Soon a complete new type of bombs, never seen before in the history of Human conflict, will rain down and destroy the British and American Industrial capacity.

On the Political front Italy has decided to adopt the mindset of National Socialism.

Japan was swifly invaded and again the british marines showed the ways for the americans. After our glorious landing in Japan, the Americans handled the situation. The axis began to threaten our position at Suez and after Japan had been defeated our forces were moved to Suez and defeated the attacking axis forces. We are in the process of getting crete back to our control.
The British homeland has been hit by a new weapon and we have not found any defence against these rockets. Much of British homeland has been again devasted. In this dark hour the Labour again showed it true face and betray our country to her enemies by supporting a major strike. Do they not understand the struggle is far from over and undermine the war effort is treason.

Nat. Spain

Our land forces are struggling to hold ground against the soviet hordes in Romania. We have lost 1 province but as the overconfident soviets attacked again they were beaten back and german and italian air force wreaked havoc upon the retreating forces.

The spanish fleet was involved in supporting the invasion of Rhodes and Cyprus. The invasion of Cyprus almost ended in a disaster as a large US/UK fleet arrived from the Suez. The german submarines tried to stall the fleet but some of the smaller ships broke though. So it was up to spanish fleet to defend the italian transports which they managed successfully. This attack cost dearly for the allies as they were intercepted by italian/german bomber force while retreating. 2 US carriers and a large number of smaller ships were sunk.

With the fall of Japan the allies are preparing to invade Europe. A large number of US troops was spotted in northern Africa no doubt preparing to invade our homeland. The situation is certainly looking grim for the axis but the german fuhrer has promised us Wünderwaffen that will turn the tide of the war.

Usa Aar

USA forces swept accross Korea, though we get halted at Busan for a while. The port an airfield in busan was the key goal of the operation but Japanese forces amazed in the region. However even though the Japs had more than 40 divisions they were no match for the increasing number of american troops that made it into Korea. 60 American divisions crushed the Japanese, as well as capturing what seemed like most of the axis airforce on the ground.

Following this succes american strategic bombers started to feast on japanese infrastructure, airfields and industry, decimating it within a few weeks.
British landing forces secured a beachhead on mainland Japan and from then on it was an easy ride into Tokyo.
Japan is shattered, and american forces can now start focusing on helping out our european friends by retaking their homelands.

THE BRAZILIAN NAVAL BOMBERS HAVE ALSO SQUASHED AN ENTIRE JAPANESE CV FLEET, COMPOUNDING ON THEIR VICTORIES EARLIER IN THE WAR IN SINGAPORE.

BRAZILIANS NOW GUARD NORTH AFRICA, AND PREPARE TO TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE HEART OF THE THIRD REICH AND HER PUPPET NATIONS.

Germany

The soviet slaughtermachine pushed through our german-finnish defenselines in finland, even though we had anticipated the whole operation and heavily reinforced the region. Finland was evacuated with help of spanish and some italian transportships to sweden, in a cat and mouse-game with soviet supersubs. We can only promise the finnish people that we will do all in our power to free them again.

Defenselines in sweden was set up by the northern border but was soon evacuated since intelleigencereports of heavy american presence in other parts of europe demanded more of our troops to be ready there.

To our own surprise the eastern front has held much easier than expected.
some vicious soviet attacks have been made though, mostly aimed at the hungarian frontpart.

We have, in some italianled operations, in the Med had success in taking out some uk divisions and almost landing in suez.

Our japanese allies was much weaker than expected and showed no spirit of survival. We sent around 30 airdivs to their aid but came to regret this when most of them was killed on the ground without any japanese warning. First then we realized they had no intentions to fight the imperialists and gave up on them and sent the rest home back to europe. To add on to this burden all japanese divs was sent as expeditionary force to us which was both irritating and a stress to our already stretched Transport Capacity.

A secret weapon has been finished after much research. V-1s are steadily raining down on UK to keep their IC and infrastructure low at all times.

The fate of europe is about to be sealed and we stand ready.

Italy 17 August 1942 - 1 Marts 1943.

Communique From Rome.

Italy had continued its preparation for the expected allied assault. When the Assault finaly came, we where able from well prepared positions to defeat two amphibious landing in Grece. In the process we completely annihalated two US mechanised and one motorised divisions. Unfortunately the allies had time to destroy all vehicles before they surrendered. Those vehicles would had been put to good use for our own mechanised forces, now we sadly had to do without.

In the end it was all for nothing, the overwhelming might of the allied forces proved to be more than we could defeat. The allies landed and started to push the Italians reinforced by German and Spanish forces back from Greece. The air war greatly intensified, the allies had atleast 30 fighter units and 20 bombers of different types, in the air over Greece. In a series of extremely well coordinated counter attacks. German fighters aided by the Italian airforce, where able to engage the allied airforces piecemeal and decisively defeat them. They where so thoroughly defeated with huge loosses that they where not seen again for months.

A unforeseen sideeffect of this debacle, has been the price of Silk has dropped dramaticly and Italy has become the world biggest exporter of Silk underwear. Unfortunately the Cosa Nostrè has, as usual, through bribes and not very subtle threats, already taken complete control of the market. Unsubstanciated rumours, claim they plan to export it worldwide, based out of Milano. We can offcourse deny this as completely false rumours, initiated by Soviet intelligence(If such a thing exist). It has been confirmed by our loyal High Command, that no Italian forces has recovered any allied parachutes. Apparently Soviet tried to create internal dissent in Italy, they will not succeed. The Commander for our Balkan forces has resigned claiming poor health, he was last seen departing for Switzerland on a sopposedly short R&R.

Strong allied formations has also landed in France. Because of the recent decisive defeat of the allied airforce in the Balkans, our Navy bombers had clear skies. Scores of allied shipping where dispatched to the bottom of the channel, unfortunately the allied resources seems endless. They succeded in landing and has now occupied the North Western part of France.

In Romania we long held the line, against the hordes of the east. Spanish, German, hungarian, Romanian & Italian forces, which in coming years shall be known as the last alliance of the people in the west, in ferociously fighting, managed for a long time, to stall all Soviet offensives. But alas in the end, it was not enough. Many times did the horn of Budapest echoe through the mountains and valleys of Bulgaria, but only orcs kept coming. There on the hilltops of Bulgaria, it was finaly revealed for the world, that Churchill where the bearer of the ring of fire. It was given to him by the heir to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who had foreseen his coming and realised what his mission would be. He said to him, take this ring my lord, which my father, on his deathbed passed on to me, long ago in brighter days. It will greatly aid you in your quest and will be a faithfull servant in the comming darknees i see decending on the earth.........eerrrhh sorry wrong story.

We have now, in marts 1943, been pushed far up into the Balkans and US mechanised formations has taken Venice. We will fight to the end and if those bastards are going to take our lifes, we will give them hell before we go!!!

Latest business news: Schweiss banks, reports a sudden increase of deposits on anonymous number accounts made by Italian newly richs. Rumours says, that they made their furtune on the highly lucrative silk underwear market.

Latest news from showbiss: Italian lady's of the night are overcrowding the English language courses, we have seen springing up in Italy lately. Reportedly they are especially interrested in the frase. You pretty American GI. Italy kaput...you take me to America yes, then me love you looong tiiiime.

Il duce is not happy, by recent development in the entertainment sector and has ordered that all fraternising with the enemy, is high treason. In a communique Il Duce has denounced the news from the Business reporters as: Quote "LIES LIES, All lies made up by Soviet collaborators, will they never stop spreading their vicious lies!"

One morning the American president called me and told me that his advisor cykelmyg had crashed with his plane somewhere in the pacific with the Brazilian chief of staff. He asked me to temporarily take control of the American armed forces, while he would take control of American production. As I had no choice I agreed to the president’s request. ´
Afterwards my phones began ringing nonstop, I found myself in command of 600 land division, 300 aircraft squadrons and around 600 ships. Still a large part of the allied army was still located in the Far East and began transport them back to Egypt. Several beaches in Greece was poorly defended and I made a landing there and when strong American mechanized divisions had landed, the axis forces were pushed back. They withdraw to the Bulgarian mountains.
The American bombers began to strike Romania and Bulgaria to weaken that front, so the Russians could breakthrough. But axis forces fought back and Romania still stands, but Bulgaria could not resist the combined allies and Russian attack.
With Bulgaria defeated, we began to liberate Yugoslavia and again the American mechanized divisions took the lead and after hard fighting we have liberate the whole coastline and now begun to invade Italy itself. Most of Italian industry has been destroyed by American bombers.
In September the Americans had prepared a landing in Spain, but the Spanish were better prepared than our scouting had indicated and our landing failed. Therefore American invasion force was moved to UK and a successful landing was made in France. After our successful landing we pushed until Paris, but the Germans had redeploy many strong divisions from the East front. We had to withdraw back to Bretagne and wait for more reinforcements.

Crap

The Italian forces resisted bravely but to no avail. After the incompetent Mussoline where removed from power in Italy. A combined German and Italian offensive into the rear of the allied forces in Venice, Genoa and Milan left all allied forces in Italy out of supplies. Unfortunately fresh forces rushed in by ship saved the day for the allies. The axis counter offensive where halted in Bologna and La Spezia. This proved to be the last Mayor offensive by the Axis to siege the initiative. A few small counter offensives in france had limitied succes. After The Fuhrer where cowardly betrayed and assasinated, the Axis where quicly overwhelmed by superior forces, attacking both from East and West.

In the end, we can only ask ourself this question: What on earth where we thinking.

God damit, I really hate to loose.

Victory is Sweet
American forces were sourly pressed in northwest France, with a high concentration of skilled Axis forces blocking further advance.
Axis counteroffensive was stopped by brilliant american forces and cold weather
The American beachhead was reinforced by the homeguard, and a new beachhead was opened in the Pyranees and shortly after Madrid was under American control. It didnt take long before all of Spain got Annexed.
The progress in Spain, Italy and upped preassure on the axis east front forced the axis to withdraw from France.
With Brits comming from the south, Americans from the west and Russians from the east it didnt take long before the ultimate colapse of Germany.
