Would it be possible to hide player assignment in multiplayer? Some way to not show who and where players currently are to make the game more tense in multiplayer. Also not showing the player selection at the start of the game.
This would go well with a randomization feature where people could be randomly assigned to a character on start with the randomizer having certain customizable options, for example only lowest rank, only a certain culture, location, religion age, etc.
With that, players would be randomly assigned, but close to each other and the difficulty distribution would be relatively fair. Without actually knowing if and/or which other players are close to them, this could lead to some tense gameplay situations.
