Wouldn't it be fun if when a sleeping empire awakened, they might do so with a game winning agenda?

Those lovely Xenophilles suddenly find they could resurrect the dragons by drilling down into certain planets cores to find the eggs, then start 'terraforming' a section of space to make it habitable for the dragons.

Imagine trying to counter their projects with projects of your own. Or defending an anti terraform mega outpost, or quickly collecting the eggs and either give it to them or hatch your own awesome dragons...

You could probably think of lots of scenarios for different empires.

Also Merry Christmas!

Frankly, I'd support anything that ties together various mechanics: Precursors-Leviathans-Curators-Fallen Empires-Crises-Nomads-Spaceborne Aliens and Privateers. I find it especially weird that all those ancient empires (FE, Curators) don't seem to have any history with each other aside from War in Heaven.
