I just started a game as fanatic xenophobe / pacifist with Agraian Idyll and Efficient Bureaucracy.

It is the first time that i see the technology "agrarian district housing +1" in society research which is pretty powerful. Never had this tech in my prev games before. Im wondering if there are any other hidden technologies which can probably get "unlocked" by switching to certain civics / ethos now.

May it be a bug? Because i remember agraian idyll as permanent civic which it currently isnt.

Psionic is a classic one. Its almost impossible to get psionic theory as a materialist Empire (you needed a psionic expertise scientist to even chance at drawing the tech, which is rare. Its gotten easier now that you can have it with psionic pops in your Empire).

The Death Star Ascension Perk allows the different super weapons to be drawn as technology choices.

It’s a new tech just for that civic. it makes that civic more powerful.

I don’t know if you lose those techs if you swap out.

You can't get anti-gravity engineering(+1 city housing) if you have agrarian idyll in exchange.
You can start without agrarian idyll though and get both techs if you switch later though.

Psionic tech gives +5% unity? if i remember corretcly i've seen this tech in every game. Otherwise im gonna look out for it.

Thats actually good to know. Do you know more benificial technologies which only appear on certain replaceable civics / ethos combinations?

Nope.
I just checked in a savegame in which I did that and my city districts only give +5 housing though.
It should be +6 with agrarian idyll(-1) and the two +1 housing techs if anti-gravity tech was still working which means it looks anti-gravity tech has been disabled.
I was able to pick the arcology perk though which was my main reason for trying that. I picked the perk just before switching to agrarian idyll before unpausing the game though.
The arcology edict is still there but I have yet to use it because I'm still building the city districts on a planet. Maybe it is disabled too.
That would be fun! ;)
