Hidden relations ?

So my Relations interface for my wife says that she has 4 relations but when I check to see it only shows 3 of the said 4 relations so what does that mean ? Is she sleeping around or what ?

IIRC, this includes every type of relation.
For example, if you're her friend and her lover, then you will count as 2 relations for her.

i get that too, sometimes some characters will have extra relations and don't appear in the list, not sure if it's a secret lover or a bug

Hidden relationships are not included in the count unless you know about them. But multiple relationships with the same character will be counted multiple times (as @Mcgan mentioned). The sneakiest of these is Soulmates, Best Friends, Nemeses as they will each count as 2 relationships for the total at the top of the tab, but will only ever show one picture within the relationship tab. This is because from a code perspective a soulmate is also your lover, best friend your friend, and a nemesis your rival.

So I'm guessing you are soulmates with your wife. That or your wife has a relationship (such as mentor/student which is an event relationship different than guardian/ward) that you know about that does not have a spot to in the tab to show the portrait. Either way, it is not indicating any secret affairs, because the total at the top does not include secret relations unless you know about them. And if you knew about any secret lovers then their picture would be in the tab.

If only there was someone wise enough to use the size of the list as the value for the display of the total rather than writing additional code to calculate the total separately ( and incorrectly ).
