Hi, is Ascension Day a holiday in Sweden as well as in Denmark? And will we get the dev. diary today or Friday?

In some countries (at least in Austria, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany (since the 1930s), Haiti, Iceland, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Namibia, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Vanuatu) it is a public holiday.

Great timing! I was about to make a thread to ask about this too. I didn't look at the screen for as long as I could withstand the force, but since it's not here we might as well speculate. So who thinks we will get one tomorrow? I have a feeling they'll skip this week's dev diary, but the one next week is going to be slightly more stuffed, kind of like the initial ones.
I say colonize 'em all and impose on them new holiday dates... That never happen. BAHAHAHA! I'm so cruel.

If there's not one today, I'd be surprised if there's one tomorrow. Putting holidays on Thursday inevitably means that everyone takes the Friday off too....

Ascension weekend is both Thursday and Friday in Belgium, I presume that may also be the case in Sweden.
If paradox were an Asian company, we could get DD regardless of being holiday, as Asian programers have no regular holidady..

That indeed is what most often happens here in Denmark and all schools are off on the Friday after Ascension Day; but some people do work on the day after Ascension Day so there is hope for one tomorrow. And they could have prepared it yesterday in which case we could still get it today.

Yeah, I suppose. There's always one or two people who like working on that kind of day as it means they can get on with their job an not be distracted by people coming to them with problems that need resolving....

We call it "playing hooky". *cough cough* too sick to come into the office *cough cough*. Not too sick to work on my golf game.
Who am I kidding, I've played hooky a number of times because I can't stop playing until the sun comes up. Stupid "just one more war".

Most likely no dev diary this week, if we had had one, it would had been yesterday.

As mentioned they could have prepared it yesterday and then just logged in a posted it today; logging in and just posting it takes no time after all.
Most people have tomorrow off as well, it's a so-called bridge day (a day in-between a holiday and the weekend/another holiday).
