that link you gave is useless.
It just points to someones (guess yours)
personalized site (like my yahoo, or my deja).
I'm not interested in registering there, smells like commerce.

Actually Oranje, that link does work, and i did enter the contest at IGN.com, though you have to register first.

They're giving away the English version plus an antique style globe and an interac game controller.

Its C ... the answers to these sorts of things are always the most obvious answers. They just do that so that you visit the publisher's site to get any answers that you don't know. They wouldn't try trick questions, i think that that would scare away potential customers.

Thanks for the info Brendiaz.

Although I am with warspite, feeling that for most of us (you included, I'll bet) will already own the game well before the contest copy could make it to our door, for those of us committed to getting multiple copies, this is one way to increase the number relatively painlessly, assuming they are up for the occassional e commerce blurb.

well first of all oranje, im kinda hurt and dissapointed youd say stuff like that, but ah well. About the contest, i just wanted to show how well EU is getting publicized. PcIgn is a good sized site, my favorite comp games review site, and EU has been getting good press their. Plus, for anybody that was just casually browsing around the forum, i thought the contest might interest them.

I ordered EU from ebworld a few weeks ago and the wait is killing me too. This is the first time in memory that a game was available in the USA last. I feel for the europeans and all the other games that they had to wait for, while watching the yanks play.

Hail BAM,

As far as that trick question I think I would have to go with 'C'. If I am correct wasn't Spain helping out the US millitarily , and if so then Spain sould be in the answer w/ England , and France. As for US-Russia choice---need I really comment :).

Well, I'm not really surprised.
However I do find it extreemly ignorant, by those keeping them (and others spreading the word), to have these 'competitions' only open to a minority of the internet crowd without clearly stating so.
Usually it's not untill clicking half a dozen links and beeing met by 10-15 adds that you find out that your not 'wanted'.

However this does not keep the companies from cashing in from hits on their netads your browsing gives them. IOW there is really no real reason why non N American visitors shouldn't also get the chance to win something, since they are making just as much money to them as any NA surfer.

It's false advertizing plain and simple & the only reason N American companies get away with it is becurse there are no international laws to stop them.

To sum it up, everyone please, next time there's a 'competition' you want to spread the word about, make a note if only 'USA & Canadans need bother'. For everybody else this is just spam costing both time and possibly money!
