And of course, the AI is the same as the when you use the battleplan. Slow, Methodical, unwilling to advance onto an empty province...

With me it's the opporite, I order my troops to hold a line while I focus my advances elsewhere, and when I check back a month later, the AI has advanced into several provinces, and my troops now have to defend a front line twice the size.

That is easily remedied at the least, just stop battleplan and they will sit there, just shuffling divisions around trying to find perfect balance I guess, even when there's 10 divisions per 5 provinces.

I meant the allied AI. Can't do anything about their advances.
