Hexes still showing even when chosen to be off

Nothing major but when starting a new game or loading a new game, even though I have hexes off, hexes still appear in the game. When I go to options, and then video, before I touch anything else, they disappear.

Again, nothing major, but thought it was worth a mention.

Just wanted to point out that I can confirm this.

Just thought I would mention this in case you do not know;
the h key will act as a toggle, when in game, to turn the hex grid on/off.

For the two who can confirm this:
1) Is this still happening?
If so, any chance you could supply your DxDiag?
Also, does it happen every time, and for any save game? Having some trouble reproducing it on this end...
