The ability for characters to be elevated to sainthood is definitely a must for any religion DLC. There are already more than few people in-game who achieved that particular distinction.

I believe in CK1 your ancestors can became saints. I hopoe this will be add (and why in a DLC?)

Sainthood alone would be nice, but I can think of a whole host of events, decisions, traits, and other things that would interact with it to make it an even better addition, which would logically point to packaging it into a DLC as the most efficient method.

Perhaps this could be recognised in-game by giving the character a new name, such as 'the Great', 'the Conquerer', or 'the Wise'.

How high is unimaginable? 2,000,000? Can't be, I just imagined that. Higher then. How high is ridiculous? Is it higher than unimaginable?

There are already very high stat characters in-game. It's very rare to get a character with stats more than 30, at least it's rare if you don't game the stats.

I'm not sure that Robin Hood and Maid Marrion are really great people of history. Great stories, great myths, great fun, but even in those stories they all had their human weaknesses and failures. And they're not real.

Thomas Aquinas and El Cid. Fine, they made their mark on history and had skills that made them stand out from the rest of humanity. But super-human? No.

If somebody wants to create a mod that puts this stuff into the game I couldn't care less, but maybe this thread should be in the mods sub-forum. I would be disappointed if anything like this made it into the game.

Well, I think you might have taken my post a bit to literally.

The point is, some of these men/women have made, as you put it, their marks in history. One must be truly exceptional to do that. So, literally superhuman? No, not unless we were intent on adding aliens and the hulk to the game. But, rather, superhuman in the sense that these men/women possessed skills that granted them the ability to think, act or behave in such a way that might make them remarkable among their contemporaries.

Saints would be a REALLY awesome Idea also. Though, it should be something you would have to coordinate with your religious head. And, your religious head should have to have enough moral authority to declare sainthood. (Thats another thing I think need reworking - hopefully that will come with a religious DLC/religious overhaul)

Hi, while I think hero characters would be nice, I'd rather see entire flavour event stories. Heroes and villains are of course a must in epic stories. Sometimes you could be the villain and AI the hero. If I remember correctly, devs had plans to add adventures in the game originally, but they ran out of time. Now is the perfect time to do that! I liked the greek fire event line, and innocent proposal was really funny too, so in general, I'd like to have more events and adventures.

Rescue a princess from a mighty dragon's cave ( well, since Aztecs invaded Europe, then Dragons existed too, right? )? Hmmm, risky business, but if she's the heiress to the kingdom of X, it might be worth it. If you are a king, maybe that dragon captured your own daughter, and heroes from all around the Europe want to go and rescue her, and you could see how it goes. If you insist, we can replace dragon and cave with a villain and a tower or something :) Also, if your spouse or relative is prisoner, no time better than present to go for a rescue mission. Pirate treasure map keeps a guy busy and depression away too, or if you own a coastal province, maybe you could turn it to a pirate haven? Just keep in mind, that your liege and neighbours probably won't like it too much, but who wouldn't want to be a pirate king? But then again, I hear there's a grand tournament nearby you could join too, where your skills and decisions decide how it plays out. Win several of these, and you'll become the next Lancelot or Black Knight, and your name will live forever. Your relatives also have ambitions you could try to help with. Maybe church career is your cousin's calling, so plotting to get him to be a Cardinal or even the next Pope would be beneficial for entire dynasty. Alchemy is obsession to some, and hunt for the holy grail for others. There's so many legends about Philosopher's Stone, that there must be some truth in them. Same goes for holy relics, and if you actually manage to find one of them, maybe <insert your name here>'s Holy Order could be created? If you are on good terms with the Pope, or he is your relative, he might create that Holy Order. That annoying neighbour of yours is richer than you, no problem, time to go do some raiding. Just make sure you don't get caught, or your son might have to start a rescue mission.

Adventures, witchcrafty, heroes and villains, more friends and rivals, and of course epic battle stories to tell for your grandchildren. Crusader Kings II: Epic Adventures DLC revealed....ehm, maybe I got a little carried away, but I'll preorder one in any case.

as a hero dlc? no thanks. as a narrative dlc expanding the immersion with landholders becoming kingmakers, mighty generals and scheming brothers? sure. more immersion is better.

+1 to this

I'd guess that would open up a new modding option which would be really good thing for all kinds of neat stuff. I really wouldn't fancy generic heroes in the game itself that much, though. Well, perhaps as a vessel for some event chains and as a part of some historically modeled courts but that's about it for me.
