Here is the low down on EBgames HoI shipments

Okay,

The guy I called in customer service said that the warehouse was at zero stock of HoI in at that time (at least that is what the computers were showing). He said to check back at 9pm EST and if our orders have not shipped by then...then they won't be shipped today. He did say that they are showing as receiving them at the warehouse tomorrow.

1) He couldn't confirm or deny that the people were too busy shipping all the orders out of there to update the system.
2) He couldn't be sure about any preferential treatment of people who pre-ordered earlier as to those who did so later.
3) At least he did give me a no later than time to see if it was going to ship today (any day...after 9pm EST...if it is not showing up (or if you call them) it will not be shipping that day).

Hope that helped someone else besides me!

I always find that pre-ordering games causes more trouble than it saves you...

You know, that wouldn't surprise me one bit. Wouldn't be shocked at all to find out that Strategy First did not send enough copies of HoI to the EB warehouse to fulfill all the preorders. If that's what has happened, I say it's another notch to carve into SF's increasingly mutilated bedpost.
