It is my morale that made this possible, actually. Without my morale, I would suffer lots of losses in all those mountain provinces. France launched about 30 attacks into Savoie from Lyon with 10-15k armies. They got massacred by my 25k army mainly because of morale, since I was actually behind in land tech by one (2 vs 3) because I was investing up to infra 3, which I got around 1460.

But yes, that will be a big bitch

This fact means that you must go full aristocracy as a priority for WC. With the current rules, badboy reduction is nearly infinitely more important than morale.

I don't see how Badboy reduction is really going to help. Obviously you can't do a WC without going over (way, way, way) over the BB limit. Stability is the key. If you can keep it 2 or 3 you're safe, but one nasty event and the civil wars wil be nightmarish.

Even with full aristo and maximum DIP-skill, you'll only lose 110 BB on the full game. And that's a theorical maximum (your starting pluto and monarchs should be much less).

Oups, your monarch. Your only 6/6/6 monarch. Even with full aristo, only 80 BB decrease.

With the change in CW, I'd like to see how it'd go. Especially with a really high stability cost later, with many religions and a starting full free-subjects (and full decentralization accessorily). :D

TPC. be more specific. You have confusificated me (a Dubya term).

Owen, I havent had enough time to maximize my combat stats, much less move my economic sliders. I get like no events though except random and I start out with FULL plutocracy. So that would take a while to move, assuming I think the payoff is worth it.

ER, work on it, bro. But donna worry, you have not stolen my divine thunder, chum. Just cheering you on ...

I'm sort of disappointed actually.

That much could be accomplished under any patch. The whole point of checking whether WC under 1.08 is possible would be to test the new civil-war-beyond-BB-threshold rules. And ryoken didn't even reach the threshold (and moved close to it with getting just 20 provinces or so).

Turns out then the whole boasting about doing the WC was just a joke, but still, I was hoping to actually see it happen.

Yeah, me too. I really want to see, say, Peter try a WC with the newest beta.
Yes, I think it would be extraordinarily challenging, even with the easiest nations (France/French minors, England, Spain). But a WC in pre-June 1.08 isn't especially hard.

What really makes the matter interesting, is the new way BB impacts on WC. Some countries are perhaps to avoid, due to big destabilizing events (like France, England, Spain, OE).
