Help with VV after install where the launcher?

Ok bought the VV expansion from Gamers Gate, downloaded and installed it to the Paradox Rome folder but the download for what ever reason doesn't put a desktop icon for launching the VV expansion nor is there an EXE VV file anywhere. What's the deal how do we get the VV up and going? When I launch EU:Rome it just says Patch 1.3 is updated version I have?

the text in the launcher is misunderstandable and the pictures are the same as in eu:r.
so click at the "check for update"-button in the launcher and this message should shown:

The latest version released was 2.0 and you have already this version installed on your machine.

if this message is shown - all is allright. if not, your install failed.

VV overwrites the original game so the only thing you need to do is to run the EU:R executable.

VV wont play

Downloaded from gamersgate yesterday,have reinstalled uninstalled,still get the same message even after a reformat of PC."The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect,reinstalling the application may fix this problem" i must of done ten reinstalls of this game,vanilla,patch 1.3 then VV, tried vanilla then vv same thing!
