Recently, my main character died, leaving half of his territory(approximately) to each of his two sons. I took control of the primary heir, and immediately went to war with the other heir to reclaim my old titles.
Initially, the war went well, I killed all of his troops, and started to siege his cities. However, the enemy heir started spawning multiple levies from all of his territories as soon as I killed his standing troops, in amounts of 50~ per territory, no matter how many of his troops I kill.(I've killed a half dozen of these waves and am running out of standing army to fight them) Meanwhile, I can only spawn one initial levy, and then a smattering(20 troops or so from 1/5 territories) of troops every now and again. . . I'm losing the war due to the enemy's levy respawn rate, and I don't know why. Is there something that I'm doing wrong that's preventing me from regenerating levies at the same rate as my opponent, or does the computer just get an advantage in levy spawn rate?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
