Ok, I started playing Romania in HOI 4, I am a beginner so if I do say stupid things in this post, is because I have no idea how to play the game properly. Anyway here are my questions.

The new Romanian focus tree I find it that two trees are almost identical.

The preserve greater Romania focus tree and the institute royal dictatorship it's very much identical, I mean all it does is send you towards a diplomatic path where you either become a communist, fascist or democrat. What makes matter worse, if you chose Balkan dominance, you cannot choose the preserve greater Romania focus tree, or vice versa. Most people will go for the Balkan dominance tree because it just wins over the preserve greater Romania one. You get more factories slots as opposed to civil slots in the economic tree. Not to mention that you get -25% less time to build claims, you get cheap claims to attack Hungary Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey, and Bulgaria.

What do you guys think?

It's always best to include a picture with these things, for future reference :)
It seems to me that the Balkan Dominance tree gives you claims and an easy expansion route to start with, which is useful for cheap an quick expansion - especially if PP is short.
The Greater Romania part will probably give more passive bonuses depending on the route you go down, which should improve your army slightly, and as a bonus leads you straight into a faction at the end, which can be hard to join.

It depends really on whether you want fascist-type expansion, in which case I'd say Balkans dominance, or slight buffs to an Allied game, in which case the democratic part of the Greater Romania tree seems better, because expansion will just put you in trouble with the democratic powers.
