Help with patches

I've been out of the U.S. for about a total of 2 years now. The first thing I did when I got home was reinstall EU2 onto my computer. The problem is, the only patch available is 1.08, and when I load it, the game says I'm still playing version 1.0 and a lot of the problems fixed in previous patches is around (huge unrealistic armies). The question is, do I have to download the previous patches to fix the problem or should version 1.08 take care of all the other patches. Thank you for your help.

Ver 1.08 should fix you up.
Where did you download it from?
Are you sure you are not trying to use a 1.08+Beta patch?

I downloaded it from DHL.net. It was on one of the stickys. I'm not sure if it was the Beta or not. I'll try another source. Thanks for the help.

The file name should have been eu2_1.08.exe

My guess is you have had more than one installation dir for EU2 on this machine, and it's installed the patch into the wrong dir. If so you need to follow the complete uninstall instructions, including cleaning up the registry, then reinstall EU2 then 1.08.
